I purchased this machine to replace a 27+ yr old machine that was wearing out. I am very happy with this machine and have been using it to make face masks for friends and family. I only wish I could get an extension table to go with it.
My wife has been very pleased with her 4452. However, the lack of a manual with the purchase of an expensive machine is confusing and disappointing. Also appreciated would be how to videos about this new machine. Also confusing and disappointing.
I had purchased one for myself several months ago and my brother has been borrowing it to make masks so we got one for him. His granddaughters are excited to learn how to sew on it, as well. It has been very easy to work with and feels like it will last for years to come.
The machine is relatively stronger than my old Singer, but not meeting the level of real heavy duty , I managed to complete my canvas canopy sewing - but was hard with many misses, I presume strong walking foot was needed in my case
I love the speed of the machine. But it is louder/nosier then I expected. I have a machine that I have had for 30yrs and this one is louder/ nosier then that one bit it is way faster.
I returned the machine because the buttonhole attachment would not work correctly. I am an experienced seamstress and know how to work the buttonhole option but it would continue to bog down at the starting point. Otherwise the machine was fine.

Our apologies that the buttonhole attachment did not work properly and thank you for letting us know of the issue. We hope you'll give us the opportunity to provide you outstanding service in the future.
Difficult to change presser foot due to axcess to screw needed to loosen said foot. Difficult to use needle threader, and in general thread machine. I have used many singer machines over the years and this is the least user friendly one I have ever encountered!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I love the machine. But, the “ paperless “ manual is a crock of dodo. They should have spent the .99 cents, and included the manual to keep next to the machine. Who wants to run to another room, fire up the computer, pull up the site to remember which stitch is which. Hope they did not cheap out on anything else involved with the machine. Irked in California.
