I really like the 4452 for it's stitching. It works well for me because I sew heavy material like denim and fleece which it seems to handle well. Only dislike is the bobbin winder. I had one break so I use another machine to wind my bobbins.
This model is easy to set up and use. I tend to pull out my sewing machine randomly for project. So started making masks , 260+, so far. Hope this is my last machine as my old singer which still runs lasted me 28 years. Quality made in America product goes a long way with me.
I have used this 4452heavy duty sewing machine to make Western shirt and a cover for my sofa..It has worked beautifully..I so proud I chose this machine..would recommend it to anyone that is serious about sewing..So easy to use..Thank you Singer..

This is my first full day of using this machine. I just purchased it yesterday. So far I am very happy with it. The manual is easy to understand. It is taking me time to get used to the automatic threader, but I am sure once I do I will love it. Also love the attachment that comes with the machine for quilting. It is a great benefit in helping me keep my seams straight.
I love this machine. I am an experienced seamstress and ordered this machine to use for heavy duty projects like hemming denim jeans, sewing canvas duck, and so forth. Right out of the box, I was sewing within 10 minutes. The set up is extremely easy. The machine effortlessly went from sewing double layer heavy denim to sewing through six layers at a fold without any problem at all. The seams are smooth, stitches even and tension just right. It comes with a quick set-up chart for threading and bobbin winding. There is no illustrated users manual or DVD for the various features, but everything you could possibly need to know is on YouTube. The stitches are easy to change using the front dials. The LED light is bright. Easy needle threader built in. Easy buttonhole function. Heavy enough that it doesn't walk or vibrate when you are sewing. Great buy for the price. Great for beginners to advanced.
I decided to learn how to sew during this epidemic. With the help of you tube, the Singer manual, and Singer tutorials, I am now making cloth face masks and sharing them with friends and family. I find sewing very relaxing and look forward to fixing my own damaged clothing from now on! :-)
I am an experienced sewer. I have had the same machine (which was expensive high end) for 40 years. It has been a workhorse, I'm used to it and it was an excellent machine. Although still functional, it was just getting worn out. So I bought this one based on the ease of buttonholes. Man have I ever been happy I bought it. This us one versatile workhorse. I am extremely satisfied, and a bit impressed!
I worked with this machine before, and my past experience was not so great. Now having it for myself, I had time to sit down and get to know the in's and out's a bit better. I now know I misjudged it's capabilities, and have a new found respect for this model. I'm happy I gave it a second chance to prove me wrong. And it did just that! And under "our current circumstances" customer service was very good and Susan was very helpful! I'm happy with my purchase and could not have asked for a better experience. Cheers to Singer for answering the calls of many in our time of need❤️ many thanks!
