This machine can do the work! Lives up to its name! I love it! Now, my mom's 1973 sewing machine can be used as lightly as I want, because I know this Singer can handle everything I do! Thank you for fast shipping and delivery! I can continue helping others. Carolyn
This is a very good basic machine that both the beginner to experienced can appreciate. This particular machine is very easy to use and even came with some extras. I have always loved my singer sewing machines and I don't think you can go wrong no matter which singer model you choose!
I had a Singer when I was a teenager, MANY years ago. Loved it then, love it now. Especially the self-threading feature, it is a game-changer!!! My eyes aren't what they used to be and makes it VERY difficult to thread a needle. Machine is well-made, and quiet. Can't beat a Singer!
Usedit to restich a boat tarp instead of paying $900 for a new custom tarp. Finished the job in 3 hours. Very fast if you want it fast! I used coats outdoors thread too. Thick stuff. Now I will probably sell the machine on marketplace for 50$ more than I paid for it.
I went with simple and heavy duty, (not a beginner and have had singer and other machines before) it is performing as i expected. Seems well made, i did have an issue with some stitching but i will chalk that up to operator error/new machine. Other than that, all good. I purchased not too long ago when the demand was far exceeding supply and I was fortunate i got a machine and got it quickly.

I am a beginner and am looking to buy a heavy duty sewing machine. I would have bought this machine, but the color is too depressing. It would be great if the style could be rounded out instead of square and clunky looking too. Even it it was offered in all the colors (gray/white) that the style comes in would be enough for me to choose this machine. Wish it did.
I am very happy making masks with my new Singer. However, I can't get the thread tensions to be equal, and suspect that issue may be causing the mild to severe thread snarls I am often getting. I tried to follow the directions to make adjustments. But apparently I have failed. Which leads to a much bigger issue. I had to print out the English pages of the machine manual and staple them together in order to have them with me at the machine. I might have missed some pertinent pages. Would it have really been too expensive for you to include a manual on how to operate this fairly sophisticated piece of equipment? On a happier note, I just ran a dart through a jeans waistband - no problem! Awesome!

This is the latest addition to my fleet of sewing machines. Bought so my husband could sew leather. He had been sewing the leather by hand and was getting no where. Very easy to use and thread. Sews leather with a teflon foot with no trouble.
