I find this machine easy to use, though I know my technique could use some work ;) I'm brand new to sewing but it's straightforward, super durable, just heavy enough, covers all the bases as far as the features my research indicated I would want, and by the way - she fast!

Poor design

The thread gets hung up on handle and is constantly breaking I spend more time rereading needle than getting any sewing done wish I had never bought it

Not worth it.

Worst machine I have ever used. The lever arm keeps throwing the thread off which causes nesting. I have emailed singer multiple times about the issues with this machine but they think I don't know how to use it. My Singer simple was so much better than this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear of the trouble you are having with your machine. It looks like you are using your metal bobbins. You will need the plastic Class 15 bobbin for this machine. That will be the reason for the birdnesting.

Horrible machine overall. Arrived damaged and has already broken 4 needles in less than 10 hours of use. Considering the price tag and the overall reputation of singer, I expect better. Have since filed for a refund.

I purchased a 4452 Sewing machine and received it on April15th. Started making a mask noticed the machine is not sticking properly. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold your tech support told me to send it back. No replacement. You would not even offer an exchange. In addition I still am awaiting a return label. Very disappointing.
