Missing Accessories & 2nd Machine Was Clearly Used Before. I Have Trusted & Owned Singers My Whole Life. My Experience Was Bad & Can Only Imagine How Many Others Were Awful Also. It’s Like They Are Throwing Machines Together For This Pandemic & Not Caring About Quality Anymore...Just Quantity.
Missing Accessories & 2nd Machine Was Clearly Used Before. I Have Trusted & Owned Singers My Whole Life. My Experience Was Bad & Can Only Imagine How Many Others Were Awful Also. It’s Like They Are Throwing Machines Together For This Pandemic & Not Caring About Quality Anymore...Just Quantity.

I received my Singer 4452 in just a few days of ordering it once it was in stock and I was so happy because I’ve been waiting to get this particular machine for a few months since Covid hit but they were sold out. I didn’t want to buy it from some 3rd party either. So, I unboxed my machine and got it all set; read the directions and through the manual to learn about all the bells and whistles of this machine just to plug it and and the feed would not work properly. The machine itself was very loud and seemed like it was struggling to work. I returned it and will be ordering another machine that hopefully works better. Fingers crossed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All my life I've dealt with used machines. Some good ones, I might add. But I decided it was time to upgrade. It was the best decision on my part. It's been an amazing experience. No more adjusting and tweaking here and there. This machines runs pretty smooth and it's pretty reliable. I strongly recommend it.

Great machine, except....

Great machine, except that I have found that, although it is advertised as a machine that will sew fast, if you actually do sew fast (and I'm not talking about anything unreasonable here), it will jam up. I took it apart to see if I could figure out what was going on and I found a thin wire hook that looked to be a thread holder of some sort. I'm wondering if sewing fast makes the thread jump off that hook---not hard to picture. Really good machine in every other way and I try to remember to take it easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm enjoying using my new machine. I have been sewing on the last Singer machine made before the first computer machine in the 1960's. My old machine is also heavy duty. I am an experienced sewer and have been sewing since I was six years old. I would recommend the 452.
