Seems to be a quality machine. I’ll let you know next year. It replaces a Janome 100 that was close in price from sewing store but had a number of issues over last eight years.

Thought it was great, until...

I purchased this machine in June when my 30yo Babylock failed to sew a thick seam. Worked well until this weekend when the bobbin winder stopped working, and the thread tension was very off. I adjusted the top thread tension to no avail finally resorting to adjusting the machine tension. They say you shouldn’t have to adjust the machine tension on a machine for normal sewing. I found that not to be the case for this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

can not find a repair shop closer than 250 miles f

i have owned Singer sewing machines for 60 years but without arepair shop i will never buy another Singer

Has some problems

I have owned this machine for 2 years. I gone through 2 bobbin cases. The little metal hook by the drop in bobbin case eats the hook of the side of the bobbin case. It then makes the bobbin thread get all tangled up. It is very frustrating to sew.
When it does work it is a great machine but not sure worth the frustration.
