I’m not a professional but I do enjoy sewing in my spare time. My mom and sister are seamstresses so, I learned a few things watching them. These are just a few of the features that I love on the Heavy Duty 4452. It has all the bells and whistles, easy to change presser foot, bobbin drops in and so many different stitches. I’m loving it! My only issues are 1) the pedal is a bit cheesy, it’s made of light weight plastic instead of metal. 2) It only comes with a quick guide so, if you really need to figure out a feature on the machine you have to download and print the manual online. Other than that, I love it.
Very helpful to view online tutorials. I’ve been sewing for years and picked up a few tips. Wish they provided a paper manual with the machine (you can print one yourself from the website). Need a little more Info on specifications, ie “class”of bobbin so I can purchase more and instructions for changing presser feet.
I like my machine so far. The video tutorials are great. I have a Singer from the 80’s that still works but wanted a little more updated machine. I like the extra features on this one and was pleasantly surprised at all the accessories that came with it. I was told by a sewing shop that the new Singer machines are terrible. But so far mine is fine.
I teach Home Economics at a local Bible college. After reading all the reviews I purchased this sewing machine for use in the class and for my own personal use. As far as sewing, it does a great job. The reason for only three stars is the the machine is difficult to thread, even with the automatic needle threader, and the plastic body makes the machine sound “clunky” compared to my other sewing machines. It also comes with only Size 16 needles when a variety of needles would be better for such a versatile sewing machine.

We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this item did not meet your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to post this review and provide suggestions on how to improve our quality and accessories in the future.
Difficult to change presser foot due to axcess to screw needed to loosen said foot. Difficult to use needle threader, and in general thread machine. I have used many singer machines over the years and this is the least user friendly one I have ever encountered!

We bought this for our adult granddaughter to sew doll clothes for her internet business. It was super easy for her to learn to use and does all needed tasks well. A great value and a great machine!
