I’m absolutely happy with my purchase of the Singer Heavy Duty 4452 Sewing Machine, My previous machine was also a Singer purchased in 1980. Since my original machine had worked so well I wanted to stay with the brand. I like that this machine has the needle threader. I also appreciate the other newer features.
Doesn't work properly. No real help. Was a waste of money

I bought this machine when I stripped the gears on another brand and model. I sew very thick amounts of fabric and discovered a heavier duty model was needed. So I went back in time to a Singer. I am 1 very happier sewer since zi came back to Singer and upgraded to a 4452! I ❤️ all aspects this machine!
This machine, though it has lots of bells and whistles isn’t necessarily user friendly. I broke 6 needles just trying to see how the fabric moved while sewing. It turns out that you just hold the material and the machine moves it forward under the presser foot but that isn’t written anywhere. Also the manual is 100 pages. Really?! The price of the machine was great but I’m not a fan just yet. Maybe with time and a lot of practice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This machine is just what I needed to mend clothes and sew some clothes and costumes. The variety of stitches and ease of operation has made it a pleasure to sew on.
I bought this for Christmas for myself. I haven't been on it much as I was having trouble figuring out how to thread the darn thing and got frustrated and haven't been back on it. From the time I was in 3rd grade (73 now), all I ever owned was a Singer. About 5 years ago and friend gave me a White machine and it threads like this singer and I hated it. So I plan on getting back to it this coming week and try and figure it out.
