Time Machine - Not Sewing Machne

Over the past few years I've spent more time trying to get this to sow than actually getting a stitch to be made. Endless hours of coaxing this terrible machine to sew. It gets me half into a project then the horror begins - it will not sow for any number of reasons. Why does it sow fine for a while and then simple go to ruin while working with the same materials? I thought maybe I should replace the bobbin holder, but guess what? THERE ARE NO PARTS!! Their website seems to have left that out, just some wonderful accessories I do not need.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i would not waste another penny especially on this machine , i own 2 other singer machines and this by far is the worst new machine i ever purchased. my old stylist is by far the best one that i own . but after all the tension problems with this machne even with two diifferent threads one in the bobbin and one one top it has sewing mistakes you have to use the same kinda thread above and below. threads always breaking tension is always needing adjusting . its horrible !!
Machine seemed somewhat noisy when received. Action was smooth' however. After using the machine a few days my wife said it sounded like it needed lubrication. Upon inspection I found that the gear set that drives the bobbin shuttle had a small glob of grease on the side of one gear' with about 10% of the meshing surface having any grease. The cam that drops the feed dogs had a small spot of grease on the wrong side of the arm with no lobe on the bearing surface. The felt lube wicks were pristine and dry. They never saw a drop of oil. After living the machine it mow runs significantly quieter.

We are so sorry that you aren't happy with the plastic exterior of the Heavy Duty sewing machine. Please know that it is very durable and the inside is an all metal heavy duty frame. You have 30 days from receipt of the machine to submit a return request if you are not completely happy with it (free of charge). We have put it through testing against our high quality standards and hope that you'll be pleased with its performance.
When I first used it, there was a plasticy rubbing noise coming from the handwheel area. I I was in a hurry to get started sewing and didn't want to have to wait for a repair or replacement, so I took the plastic housing off and found that the way the plastic housing was molded, it was coming into contact with the plastic gear on the handwheel. I shaved a little bit of the plastic off, put it back together and it has been working fine since. I would give it a better rating based on performance, but the quality control is apparently non-existent. I had to waste 2 hours of my time to get the machine in proper order before I felt comfortable using it.

I just had to replace my Grandmother's 75 year old Singer. It made me a little sad to see it go. But, boy this machine made it so easy to upgrade. Simple start-up, easy to use, user friendly manual and I love the clear bobbin cover. I am a novice and it is great to see how the thread is coming out. The reverse for back-stitching is awesome. And the heavy duty is no joke. It tackled masks with a filtration layer, like it was nothing. And a duck cloth string backback was a snap. Not to mention, I got my machine as quick as I would have expected in normal times, let alone how things are now. Amazing!

I purchased this sewing machine when my last Bernina electronic sewing machine, after 20 years of service, was unable to be fixed. Most of my sewing now comprises quilts for the local Sheriff's Dept. patrol cars for emergency victims. That said, I also regularly donate larger king size quilts to local organizations for their fund raisers so I am well versed in the uses for a sewing machine. I have been very impressed with this machine. It has given me no problems and it is nice not to have to reset the machine's decorative settings each time I turn it on. I have just completed my fourth quilt om this machine so I am comfortable recommending the machine to anyone who wants a great machine at a very reasonable price.

When I was younger, I used to sew a lot. But after high school only on occasion I would whip up a Halloween costume here and there. It had been years since I have sown anything. Husband got me a new HD last year for Christmas after I was asked if I could help with sewing for wedding stuff (neice wanted cloth napkins) but couldn't as I only had a surger. I finally got the chance to use this new machine this year to make a Halloween costume. OMG! It was amazing. I was sewing a stripped shirt and that alone was going to be a challenge as I have never attempted this before. This machine almost did all the work for me. Kept the fabric straight, didn't bunch up, good control. Am looking forward to to more challenging fabrics maybe even sewing some patches on a leather best for the hubby.
