Wonderful Purchase

I use this humidifier to cut down on the dryness in my nasal passages and sinuses in the winter. THis is my first humidifier and I LOVE IT. It is easy to fill and manage from faucet to bedroom. The low setting is perfect for nighttime sleep and provides even a nice white noise effect which is soothing. I love the sound of the water being gently released into the unit bit by bit. I haven't formally cleaned it yet, but I anticipate no problem. It took me a long time to agree to purchase a humidifier. this name and model was suggested to me by a friend and it's one of the best suggestions anyone has ever made to me. Really a good buy!!!
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Quiet

Leaves No White Dust

This large room, 4 gallon capacity, humidifier doesn't leave any white dust on furniture like most sonic humidifiers. You will have the continued expense of replacing the "wicks" about every 6 weeks, but they are what filters out the minerals that leave behind the white dust. I wish this model had a thermostate and ran much quieter. If you turn the fan speed down to low it's whisper quiet. I would buy again.

Quiet, reliable, well built

This humidifier is quiet and reliable, easy to clean, and well built. I use it primarily at night, and the large capacity means that I don't have to fill it every night. Filling is very easy due to the well thought-out design. In the past I've had a variety of humidifiers--cool mist, warm mist, and evaporative--and this is the best. I bought this one because I have other Vornado products, a circulating fan and a heater, and have been impressed by the quality.

Does the Job Intended

I had the previous model which finally gave up the ghost. This model designation seems to be just a change as the parts are interchangeable, so you need not throw out filters, water tanks, etc. if you have the older model. I wanted a unit that wasn't ultra-sonic and would provide humidification for several days without the need for a refill. The unit is quiet even at the highest fan speed. The humidistat is a bonus. I've had a number of Vornado products over the years and each has worked well out of the box and reliably over many years.

Very nice

We have had one like this for years but this year it just wouldn't turn on. Guess the motor is shot. This one is a much lighter color, which I like, and is much quieter than the old model. On low, really don't hear it, just a soft hum. Very pleased with it and it shipped very quickly.
