Fantastic machine, and I'm a newbie

Before 2020 I never touched a sewing machine. I was lucky enough to pick this one up before they all sold out. I love love love this machine. I have screwed up many times and it has been easy to figure out my errors. My confidence grew the more I used it and now could not imagine living without this machine. I just fixed a fabric cushion my darling dog chewed up - the heavy duty came in handy for the thicker fabric.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very disappointed at first, but we’ve come around

Edited review. My daughter has changed her mind and admits that the learning curve affected her first review of this machine. It works wonderfully! The tension is still an issue, but hopefully that too will make sense soon. I tried it and out of all the singers we’ve had, this runs smoothest. The lightness of the foot pedal, and the needle threader is something to get used to, but all in all, this machine performs beautifully. The extension table is a game changer. Wish we’ve had one for years.

Problem with the threading of the bobbin thread.

When sending my needle down to pick up the bobbin thread, the bobbin thread gets caught on something and doesn't want to come up without tugging and forcing it up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

False advertising, not actually heavy duty. It cannot sew through material the slightest bit thick.

It worked well with one exception. The machine does not have a needle up/down button. The is not a show-stopper, except that it does not stop consistently in either the up or down position. Therefore, I constantly have to roll the the handwheel forward to pull the project from below the presser foot before cutting the thread. I would also prefer if the handle to raise the presser foot were turned 90 degrees to the right so it is easier to reach.
