Troublesome machine

I had it for about 3 years now and had to take it for repair twice already for the same problem, threads are looping on the under side of the fabric and there is a lot of thread remnants in the machine itself
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE this machine! No computers, no learning curve from the Singer I had previously that lasted me 30 years. Works like a charm - sews evenly. Has plenty of stitches for various uses. I sew clothing and household dec and am starting to learn to quilt. I inherited a Bernina sewing/embroidery machine that I stored for 2 years; then my old Singer died so I decided to try it out; it was so difficult to learn to use and expensive to maintain that I decided to find a manual Singer, and am SO glad I did! Can't recommend this machine highly enough!

This sewing machine can handle several layers of fleece without missing a beat. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be but the automatic needle threader works every time and saves me several minutes of frustration trying to thread the needle manually.

Fantastic machine, and I'm a newbie

Before 2020 I never touched a sewing machine. I was lucky enough to pick this one up before they all sold out. I love love love this machine. I have screwed up many times and it has been easy to figure out my errors. My confidence grew the more I used it and now could not imagine living without this machine. I just fixed a fabric cushion my darling dog chewed up - the heavy duty came in handy for the thicker fabric.
