I've never sewn before and this machine is great! Very novice friendly and powers through Jean material like crazy. One of those purchases I wished that I would have made years ago. Just hit you tube for some how to videos and you're off to the races

Only had it for a couple days. Took a few hours to go through the manual and learn all the features. It's a lot like the last Singer machine I've had for over 40+ years. It's a great machine for what I need, which is mainly for repairing stuff. Will be trying to make some curtains and light clothing. I like that it will go through heavy layers and it sews fast! I like that it only weighs 17 Lbs. and is smaller that my last machine. I would recommend this machine to friends.

Simple set up, versatile and just an all around great workhorse of a machine. Singer has never failed me. It has handled fabrics from the lightest weight to multiple layers of leather and denim and does so flawlessly. I have had it for over 2 years now and logged a lot of miles on it. No complaints!
