I just wanted a basic machine. I do a little quilting, made over 100 face masks, baby quilts, towel bibs etc. When I try to go fast, the threading on top comes undone on the machine. If I just take it easy, it is fine. I like the see through bobbin and the needle threader. I always buy the cheaper, heavy duty Singers and they last me forever so that was one of the reasons I bought this one. If it would stay threaded, I would have no complaints at all.
Its my first sewing machine. I love it, it does the job, prepping the bobbin is easy. Havent had any problems with it and I've had it for 2 months. A little heavy but im okay with that since i wont be moving it around. So far so good i recommend it!
I used my Kenmore basic machine for 32 years before it gave up. I researched a replacement for weeks; comparing accessories, speed, weight, application/usage & pricing. I settled on this one because; I am experienced but generally do 'basic' repairs & make a lot of 'craft' type projects (bags, heat pads etc). I needed & wanted a heave machine that could handle the thicker fabrics. I also generally use straight or zig zag stitches, but do have occasion where a little different stitch is preferred, the 23 this one has is plenty! Also at 60... for the first time I am finding the self threading a real bonus! This unit came with plenty of accessories & will use (buttonholer, zipper etc). After I decided on this model I found out 4 other family/friends have the same one & love it too. Only negative I have is I immediately wanted to replace the LED light with a brighter one.... It was NOT replaceable. I think the LED module is entirely too dim!

Bought this machine hoping it was going to work on denim quilts. I have yet to try the quilts and have been making masks instead. Can't get it to go across simple cotton seams without stopping. Also the bobbin isn't easy to get in and out. If your thread breaks off in the area between the top and the needle you can't get it out easily. Not a user friendly machine. I don't recommend this machine to anyone.
I Love that it sew's so easily, not too noisy and that the thread doesn't break so easily, like the one my friend gave me as a gift, so far I haven't found anything wrong with it. I just Love it, I'm happy with it, ty, it was worth buying it❤
We have been making masks and wore out one of our older machines. We ordered two of the heavy duty machines and gave one to our daughter. She easily learned the basics and has begun her creative journey in sewing.
Learned on a singer as a kid, at 60 I still rely on Singe

I love sewing as a kid, but never got back into it. With the COVID-19 problems, I knew I could help. Needed a new machine fast and this one was perfect for all my needs. My favorite is the threader! It's amazing. Great for us older folk.
