Bought same Whirlpool Refrigerator as 11 years ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator replaced our 11 year old Whirlpool and is the same model as our old one. The old refrigerator began acting up after a series of power surges and outages so we don't fault the first 'frig. The new 'frig has glass shelves, but that's about the only difference. My wife specifically wanted this model.

Exactly the right size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent refrigerator. Homework done, statistics reviewed, Whirlpool is the best. Perfect size, holds enough without refrigerating empty space. Hardly can hear it run. I had to turn it down, too cold on #3. Highly energy efficient. Good choice to help the climate.

Very noisy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 20 year-old GE died. Stopped cooling. Literally a melt-down. We bought this model Whirpool because it fit into the space in the kitchen and it was available right away. The delivery was wonderful--on time, efficient, refrigerator started right up. It cools and freezes fine--I have no complaints. It's slightly smaller and with a different configuration from my old fridge, but no matter. The issue is that it is VERY NOISY when it runs---complete silence when it doesn't run. It sounds like the motor is straining, and there are pings and dings as though things are falling inside. It's loud enough to be heard 30 feet away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The most bang for your buck!

Great for a basic fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this fridge 2 weeks now. It’s a great size for my apartment and has good shelving. It Also runs very quiet. Only complaint I have is switching the side the door was on was a bit of a pain and the pieces to cover the holes on the other side don’t go in well so they don’t look great. Overall, great purchase!
