Great fridge

This is a great basic fridge,but a little low to reach into. I'm short and even I have to stoop to reach in and find things. However,it a great fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Top front controls are in a position(right in the middle) where I keep hitting when putting items on top shelve,also hard to put a gallon of milk on the top shelve.......my old sears refrigerator control were in the rear & very easy to put things on top shelve & gave more space....j.avery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in a Habitat for Humanity home and this was graciously donated by Whirlpool. I really thought it would be a small fridge but there is a ton of room inside. My favorite part is all of the shelves in the door.

Received this refrigerator two weeks ago in white. SO happy with it! We are a very small family and didn't need a unit with "bells and whistles", but needed a roomier, functional fridge. This has a good layout -- lots of storage in the doors, both glass top and wire shelves are wonderful, and the simplicity of it is so practical. It is SO quiet, and keeps food at correct temperatures. Thank you, Whirlpool for another well-tooled appliance for our home!

Skinny door...

There are a few things that I don't like about the door. Let me list it:* The door is a little too skinny for larger items, they won't fit;* The metal thingy from the door falls if any item gets caught (the metal that keeps the items from falling from the door when you open or close it);* The configuration of the shelves are not very friendly.Now for the rest of the design...* The metal shelves make the item look cheep, I would much prefer glass; Also shelves don't give you much flexibility (for example, if you need to put one of those fat items that did not fit in the door, upright, you need to change the height of the other shelves and you will end up with a lot of wasted space....* The compressor is not bad, but could be quieter...There is nothing else that I don't like or wouldn't find the same problem with other models or brands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
