The Ghost Phone

Looks nice. Displays volume control window all the time. Calls people at random. There is a Gremlin in the phone and I'm not talking AMC. Needs SW fixes. Can't tell if the HW is any good or not.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Caveat Emptor

I've had my Intercept for about three months. I had a Vibrant before this, but had to downsize my phone bill. The Intercept is cool, I love the keyboard. Shortcomings: tends to seize up after having been on for a while. This necessitates pulling battery. I forestall this by voluntarily shutting it off and restarting at least three or four times a day. I do miss live wallpapers, but overall very happy.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, physical keyboard, its an android!
Cons: seizes up, no live wallpapers, kinda pricy
I would recommend this to a friend!

Umm...have you heard of speed dials?

These smarty-pants techies who came out with a new software version forgot to reinstall quick dialing and speed dials. Just like the HTC, one used to be able to, from the phone screen type in someone's name by touching only one numeric key combination & the phone would figure all possible matches. It was brilliant for most people who can't remember phone numbers. I have 700 contacts so that feature was bliss. I hate my phone now, because it takes 5 minutes to find any contact!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable
Cons: Not high def, no speed dialing!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezes and unreliable
on June 5, 2011

This phone is so unreliable. It really suffers from constant freezing. It's frustrating when you can't answer the phone because the device won't respond. It has a really hard time with temperature changes. If you are in a 75 degree building and walk outside into 80 degree heat, the phone freezes. This product was poorly tested and feels defective. Reading other reviews, I can verify many of the same flaws others have experienced. This is my first smart phone. I have so few apps on the device I wonder why even call it an android phone.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, freezes, will not work in hot weather
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

been using mobiles for years. moved to the new android and first thing i started noticing is the video display wasn't so great. better than the motorolas i've had, not near as good as the lg. the preset apps are almost as much a nuisance as a help. the contact app has no quick edit for the contacts. in fact- its a pain in the neck to use. the keypad isn't so great if you are trying to key numbers along the top. some of these may be android issues, but, it would be nice if there wasn't so much relearning required for basic function. all the cool stuff is great, but the basics suffer. OLD ADAGE- if the user can't find a function, it ain't there.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros - Handles most everything I use it for. Quick load times on web and games/apps.
Cons - I feel it lacks in the Rom-Ram-Speakers. section of phones. Speakers crack alot when listening to music. Games some time freeze. or when exiting an app it can hang.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Crashes
on June 9, 2011

This phone has crashed twice on me, and it gets hung up all the time. I had one from October to December, and it crashed. I had one from January to May, and it crashed.
The slide-out keyboard is difficult to press (i.e. it requires a lot of pressure). They should make a touch keyboard that slides out. Otherwise I use the on-screen keyboard, which makes navigating difficult and unable to see what's behind the screen.
The phone is also thick.
Much more worth your money and time getting an HTC.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Too big, small screen

The phone was rather slow and would always freeze up. I have had Samsung products before, this one was a let down. It would not prevent me from getting another product.
