This is the worst cell phone i have ever incountered, from almost day one, it freezes, it shuts itself off, and loses service.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

I HATE this smartphone!

I can't wait to get a REAL android phone! This is my second Intercept after the first one simply started shutting down at will. I had never dropped or in any way abused the phone. But both devices have to be reset every other day or my e-mail stops coming in. It is extremely slow. I am so disappointed in Samsung. Everyone I have met that has this phone does not like it. I wish I had returned it in the first 30 days, but I was new to the android experience and had no idea what a lousy device this was!

Worst Phone I've ever had

I've had this phone for less than a year and I hate it. If you press a button more and it doesn't respond you naturally press it again. however on this phone it will take you to a completely different app. the reason I'm writing this review is because this morning i had to get up for a very important event and I set my alarm on my phone. I woke up the next morning and realized i had completely over slept I then realized my phone had shut down, while charging, in the middle of the night. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE.

I have been stuck with this phone for a little over a year, and there are MANY issues with it to say the least.
for starters, there is no flash support, and the screen resolution is horrible (WQVGA 432-240). This means some apps will not display correctly. even low-end android smart-phones are better than this!
now lets talk about the so-called "high-end armv11 CPU". I have seen comparisons with the optimus, moment, hero, droid, transform, and many other android phones. well in benchmark tests that high end prosseser sure doesnt compare to ANY other android phone in the market! i beleve that's because this phone lacks a GPU (graphics card) so not only the processor have to work twice as hard to compute, and to draw the graphics, but it cuts the performance in half as well as the graphics quality. furthermore, flash player apparently does not support the arm v11 CPU family. so don't expect to ever have it. even if you try custom ROM's.
another failure of Samsung was the minimal internal memory (they say its 256mb but its actually 192mb). if i download more than 10 apps, the phone will slow to a crawl. then you'll need to move them to the SD card. after that, if you get lucky, you can install install 6 more apps. it is not a lot.
other problems people experience are likely caused by the android OS version installed. (such as USB device not recognized problem, instability [crashes, force closes, random reboots etc.] ) but the few custom roms floating around are not mch better than stock
improvements i was able to get after rooting was: WiFi tethering; uninstalling bloatware, uninstalling non important system apps; live wallpapers; playing with the CPU property although i wasn't able to overclock it.
if you look to install custom ROMs, forget about it. there are hardly any out there. non of them seem to work better than stock firmware.
the physical design of this phone is OK. i like the overall look. that is about the only thing i liked about the phone.
i have tried hard to find good things about this phone but there simply isn't any. even low-end android smart-phones are better than this! (other than durability and good quality speakers)

Cons: Did not meet expectations, screen doesn't get very dark, poor arm v11 prosseser, no flash player, no gpu, minimal internal memory (192mb), small screen, no swype keyboard, poor screen resolotion, no live wallpapers

BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON BECAUSE ON PAPER IT LOOKED LIKE TH ENEXT STEP DOWN FROM A EVO WHICH WAS TOO BIG FOR HIM TO CARRY AROUND TO SCHOOL. WHAT A MISTAKE. THE SCREEN IS SLUGGISH AND LAGS AND SINCE DAY ONE IT WAS CUMBERSOME TO WAIT FOR THE PHONE TO RESPOND. YESTERDAY, JUST MORE THAN A MONTH OUT OF WARRANTY THE SCREEN FROZE UP AND IS NON RESPONSIVE TO TOUCH. REMOVED THE SCREENSAVER AND THE BATTERY FOR A LONG TIME TO RESET BUT TO NO AVAIL. NOW I CAN CONTACT SAMSUNG AND HOPE THEY WILL REPAIR IT. NOT SURE HOW THIS SAMSUNG PHONE GOT SUCH GOOD RATINGS IN TESTS. PERHAPS THIS ONE WAS FAULTY FROM THE BEGINNING. i WILL TEST SAMSUNG AND SEE IF THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS

The system freezes frequently, becomes utterly responsive, and requiring me to remove the battery to restart the system. Performance is wretched, and I suspect that the operating system is utterly incapable of supporting the (modest) level of features the phone sports. Furthermore, the phone was originally manufactured for one carrier, then rebranded for another; but, the label under the battery gives a customer service number for the original carrier - not the current carrier.

But Dial But Dial But Dial !!!!!!
Had to have it replaced once because it did not recharge.
It took 3 trips to get it replaced.
1.5 hour trip 1 way.
New one charges now but locks up alot.
5 months to go to get an new phone or buy one.
just might have to buy one if eye fail to control my urge to throw this phone at something very hard.

I've used samsung as my go to for mobile phones for about 8 years now and always have been very pleased. Until now. Ive had more problems with this phone then all of my previous phones combine.
