Overpriced paperweight

I can't recommend this phone for more than overpriced paperweight.
Battery life is about 2 to 3 hours, if you're lucky.
Battery will run very hot at times.
Very slow processing times between screens / apps.
Randomly turns itself off when extending / closing the keyboard.
Randomly turns itself off when just simply sitting there.
God forbid you have to take a phone call when doing anything else with this thing - better hope your caller waits 15 to 20 rings, so the phone itself has time to catch up and get you to a screen where you can actually answer a call.
I used to love Samsung - my first 2 cell phones with them were amazing - the last two - have been absolutely horrid.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it was very poor in performance, it would always bug out and took to long to even bring up the contact info to make a phone call let alone trying to do anything else.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My first disappointing Samsung product

I normally seek out Samsung when purchasing electronics because I have found their quality and value to be excellent.
This phone, however, was far from excellent. On paper it has decent features. In reality it was painfully slow and often locked up. Resetting to factory would speed the phone up for a day or two, but they it would slow down. Pressing an icon meant waiting 3 to 5 seconds for a program to open.
I eventually sold this phone and switch to another make of smart phone from Virgin Mobile.
Pros: nice feature set, sliding keyboard
Cons: very slow response
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This phone is horrible.

I bought this phone about a year and a half ago and I enjoyed it at first, but the thrill quickly wore off when I realized how quickly the battery died. Soon after, my applications wouldn't run and I couldn't play games or anything. Then my phone calls started being dropped and my texts would send around 5 times when I hit send once. The phone lacks storage space so be prepared to buy a large SD card. NOW my phone will start off, but the screen won't show up at all OR it will be split in half(image of the same screen), backwards, and a bright purple or green color. It also is constantly vibrating for no reason whatsoever. It is in your best interest to never buy this phone. It was the only phone I've ever had trouble with.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

Contract vs Prepaid

I'm new to droid phones. I've had 4 generations of Treos. Very similar Open Architecture & vast array of apps. Presently I'm using this as a wifi mule. My Treo is an excellent phone in its own right with tested software and excellent service. I do hope someday V****n M****e is allowed by S****t to unlock the froyo 2.2 update, Flash should really be mandatory but S****t won't allow the update because it also provides tethering which S****t doesn't even like to allow for contract customers. Overall the Intercept is an excellent phone for those moving inexpensively into the Droid marketplace aside from S*****s meddeling.
Necessary Marketplace Apps:
1) Astro File Manager
- (Basic backup and file management)
2) Bluetooth File Transfer
- (Even with this Bluetooth functionality is limited)
3) Gmail Widget
- (if install and use 1st the builtin email will not conflict)
4) iReader
- (allows read ereader, mobipocket, & many other ebooks)
5) Pandora App
- (gotta have my Pandora)
6) TuneIn App
- (streaming web radio stations)
7) Stitcher App
- (Podcasts)
8) The Weather Channel App
- (Provides realtime temperature & forecasts)
9) Battery Widget
- (% Left & quick access to WiFi and other switches)
10) Progimax Air Horn
- (Actually works & gets proper attention)
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Lightweight, best prepaid droid available, excellent even without phone service
Cons: Not high def, no flash 10.0, no froyo 2.2
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had two of these phones and they both did the exact same thing. After a month or two they began having a massive number of problems. The battery woulden't hold a charde, it would lag like crazy, half of my calls wouldent go through, data was sssooooooooo slow, even on wifi and worst of all it would send half of my text to the wrong person.
This is the worst phone i have ever owned, and the most expensive, and i have owned a number of phones.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The phone is slow, non-responsive and locks up every few days and then it takes multiple attempts to hard reset the phone to bring it back to life.
Avoid this phone.
