I like that I can brown, then switch to slow-cook. I think the controls could be a little more user-friendly. I have to keep the directions hands when I use it. For example, the light flashes. Does that mean it's heating up? Or is it waiting for you to set a time? I'll just press this.... dang, It shut off. Start over. IF CUISINART MAKES A SMALLER VERSION OF THIS, I WILL BE FIRST IN LINE TO BUY IT!! Please consider that suggestion. Some of us are cooking for one or two and need a smaller footprint in the cupboard, as we're downsizing.

After several uses I am overall happy with this multicooker. I rplaced an old original 80's Crockpot with this 21st century pot. I wish it were a little deeper to cover more of a large item (like pot roast) with the liquid, but I really like the ability to use the built-in browning function to avoid needing a second pan. I made a pulled pork recipe in it which I had made many times before, but after 9 hours was not as tender as in my old cooker. I also used the browning function to cook down liquid to make a gravy after the item was done. One other good feature is that the liner and lid are dishwasher safe and clean easily.. I doubt I will ever use the steam feature but maybe for something like crab legs.

I have this slow cooker in the larger size. Loved it so much that when I needed something smaller I opted for the same model in 4 quart. Rated it 4 stars because when I received it, the cook pot coating was a little bubbled. But Cuisinart replaced it no problem. So 4.5 stars!

Absolutely love it!!!!!!!!! After that piece of garbage Hamilton Beach - this is pure heaven. I have cooked in it 3 times since I got it - even used the browning unit and each time the meal has come out perfectly.

My favorite appliance in the kitchen. Lightweight, easy to use, easy to clean. Cooking is fun again. Also,the 4-quart is the perfect size for 2-3 people. Now, since it’s not too large,we don’t throw away tons of leftovers. The 4-quart size allows 1 day of leftovers. This brand cost us a little more money, but it was worth it. So far we have it used the other 2 features, but we will when the recipe calls for it.
