This product does have great features!

The operation noise is very quiet.The ice maker makes a lot of noise, thumping during the ice making stage.

Good looks can be deceiving

I had the refrigerator for less than a month and the ice maker quit working this was July. I called it in for service and as soon as the guy showed up and tinkered with the ice maker it started working again. It had something clogged in the water line he said. No need to change anything. Ok, it was working again. Winter, I turned off the ice maker as it is not needed. May, summer is here again. Let's turn on the ice maker and get ready for a hot summer. Need ice. It made one batch of ice, then it quit working again. Now what. I called it in for service. Service guy pulled it out from the wall and the water from the drain pan spills everywhere. I noticed dried water mark on the floor where the refrigerator was and was concerned whether this has been leaking for quite some time. He assures me that it was not a problem and that the refrigerator releases water in the drip pan and the water should evaporate in the pan.The next day my floor was covered with water! Now what? They said the refrigerator is defrosting and the water is not evaporating due to excessive defrost cycle. I live in a dry climate, so I am not too worried about water damage to the floor. I hope they fix it soon. I do like this refrigerator. Other than the problems listed above it has performed quite well. It is not noisy and it has a lot of storage capacity.

The on door ice system sold us on this product -- we were going to purchase Whirlpool because of our previous experience and we settled on this model. which is attractive and keeps products properly chilled

We just remodled our Kitchen. My husband & I bought this refrigerator/freezer side-by-side, 01/31/13. It's sleek & modern & gooks great! Just the perfect size & right price.We have a chest freezer,in our basement. The ice maker is a little noisey, but, we use it, all the time. It is a good purchase.Our parents always bought Whirlpool & it was very,dependable & lasted, many years!

This was my first side by side purchased. It is a 26 cu.ft. with lots of room. I love the fact that the Ice maker is in the door gives me more room in the freezer!
