excellent and attractive appliance

I am highly satisfied with my Whirlpool Gold side by side fridge. It is very quiet and keeps everything nice and cold. I got the black one and it looks very elegant in my kitchen with my other black appliances. The door shelves are deep and hold a lot of food items. I like the see through bins and the glass shelves, very attractive and elegant looking. I really enjoy the through-the-door ice and water dispenser. This is the first refrigerator I have had with this technology. It is really nice in the summer. I wish the water filters were not so costly to replace. Pretty pricey in my view. However, the appliance is terrific and I have enjoyed it. I highly recommend this fridge.

I really like the in door storage for milk and sodas. I also like the adjustable shelves. My son likes to put half full glasses of juice in the fridge so we really like the spill-proof shelves. It's great only having to clean one shelf instead of the entire fridge. When i bought the fridge i was really set on the in door ice maker. in hindsight maybe the one in the top of the freezer is better. The in door one seems slow and the capacity is not that great. on the other hand we do have 5 people using it so i may be asking too much of it anyway. Overall i am happy with this fridge and would recommend it.

After all these years!

We have been married 55 years and after all these years we seem to stay with or go back to Whirlpool appliances. With several moves in these fast passing years we have inherited other brands of appliances with each house purchase. But when it came time to replace washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and water softeners we seem to always pick Whirlpool! The advances made by this brand over 55 years are far and above other brands. Their dependability and trouble free maintenance far out shine others we have owned. Keep up the good work Whirlpool. We are working on the next 55 years. Helen and Les Dyer

Very stylish and energy efficent

We like our new fridge but a couple of improvements could be made for the new ones. First the water tube is too far out from the back; if you have a small glass or a slender cup the water almost misses the glass. You have to be careful dispensing the water. Secondly the drawers should have been separated in half so you don't have to open both doors to open the drawers. Also the freezer compartment is kind of noisy when opening and closing.

Another good Whirlpool product

This our third Whirlpool freg in 32 years and it's the best so far after 90 days running it. We did a complete kitchen remodeling and it goes with our appliances perfectly.We used the Whirlpool website and decided to buy from an online store. My only feedback is that is hard to navigate on the whirlpool website and find useful information about models and there respective features. We bought this particular model because it had the basic features we wanted and it was very well rated by users both on Whirpool's and other stores' websites.If our past whirlpool fregs are any indicator we expect to have a very nice freg that work without costly repair or hassles for many years to come.

Everything about the fridge is set up to be personalized for each person from the adjustable in door shelves/storage to each individual shelf or drawer for convenience and maximum space usage.The freezer was designed with the same thought in mind, to include placing the icemaker and ice storage in the door itself to free up more useable space where its needed. I love the soft touch features on the ice/water dispenser, its easy to navigate for anyone and everyone. This fridge is super quiet and rarely do you notice it kick on to keep things cool and fresh, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an energy smart, spacious and very reasonably priced rerefrigerator.

I am very impressed with my new Whirlpool fridge. I replaced a 24 year old fridge and this new fridge has so many new features that I am enjoying. The crushed ice feature is my favorite so far. I also love how easy the shelves are to wipe down. I don't have anything negative to say because my experience with this new fridge has all been positive. I love the many different levels I can arrange the shelves in too. Thanks for making such a superior product!

Ice maker issues

Purchased this refrigerator November 2001 and have to have it repaired on 3 different occasions. The first was an I stallation issue shortly after delivery. Then in 2013, we had to have the water valve assembly replaced.In February, 2016, the ice maker stopped working and the extended warranty company has sent a repairman on three different occasions. Today he order more parts and now we have to miss work yet again when he comes back in two weeks. Hopefully he will be able to fix it then,; don't imagaine there are too many ice maker parts left!Also the bottom tray freezes anything on the right side.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
