This is the first time I've ever had a side-by-side & I love it. I bought the 26 cu. ft. fridge so I had lots of room like my old fridge which was 22. cu. ft. I was still afraid it would be too small but I'm able to fit everything onto the shelves & door with have room to spare. The freezer space is very adequate also since the ice maker storage is located on the door. I love having the ice & water handy. My husband is even drinking more water. He says it tastes better than out of the faucet because of the filter the water goes through inside the fridge. Also, the only time it's "noisy" is when the ice falls down into the storage bin, but we've gotten used to it now. As far as the motor, we don't find it noisy at all like some reviews reported. I did lots of research on refrigerators & chose this one because it was highly rated in the reviews. I really feel we made a great choice.

THIS FRIDGE IS GREAT FOR ONE OR TWO PERSONS BUT NOT QUITE ENOUGH CAPACITY FOR MORE. WORKS GREAT AND PERFORMS AS I WOULD EXPECT A WHIRLPOOL TO PERFORM

Water line problem took 3+ months to fix

There appears to be a problem with the water line/filter area. I started having problems within the first 3 months of purchasing. It took over 3 months to fix as the part was on back order. It needs a bigger ice maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought extra door bins so that all condiments can be stored in the door and not "lost" in the back. It has great capacity and the whole family is loving the ice maker and being able to choose between cubed and crushed ice. I even love the feel of the door handles, smooth and sleek and don't stick out too far. My only real complaint is some spot freezing in a meat/vegetable drawer which seems to be common problem with many refrigerators.

This product is weak in the ice and water dispensing area

The unit as a whole is pretty good. If you drink a lot of water and/or use a lot of ice you may want to choose a different unit. The ice bin is in the door so it is pretty small. It is fine for normal daily use, but if you entertain a lot and need a lot of ice you will need to purchase ice for your event(s). The ice dropping into the bin is a little loud.The other short coming is the water dispenser. It worked fine until we had to change the filter. After that, water trickled out. Called repair person, he came out and blamed the filter. After he left water was gushing out. Several weeks past and water flow is slowing down again. Unit hasn't indicated that the filter needs to be changed, so I think it is a poor design point of the unit.

This product has soom good features

this is a good product but needs a couple thing improved. The icemaker needs a different chute to your glass - its hard to get the ice in your glass without some of it missing the glass. The product this replaced never had a problem with the ice missing the glass. The second thing it needs are some type of lip or basket design on the freezer shelves. The frozen packages will slid off of the shelves.
