One issue is that one of the shelves in the fridge rests on small plastic brackets. The shelf could have have been a little wider. Always having to adjust it so it sits square on these brackets. Other than that a good fridge so far.

This is an ok fridge. We had to have a technician come out four separate time to work on the water dispenser. The stainless smudges easily. We like the shelves and how there is a shelf for baking dishes. The water filter needs to be changed pretty often and it is not cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product cools well but ice maker is very noisy

Bought my second Whirlpool refrigerator in June 2013 while remodeling the kitchen (the first lasted 11 years without issue except for icemaker paddle switches failing). Like the stainless look, clean lines and styling. Does all a refrigerator and freezer are supposed to do keeping temperature. My wife left the egg storage shelf door up and cracked the plastic when she closed the door (should be designed to prevent that like my last frig was). Major disappointment with the icemaker; water valve is very noisy when it cycles and when ice falls it sounds like bricks being thrown against my wall. In addition, it's much slower making ice than my previous Whirlpool. The glass shelves in the frig are not wide enough and fall off the side wall supports putting a load in the glass. Had a water leak inside the frig at the water filter that required 3 visits by the repairman (3rd visit tomorrow). First replaced the water filter housing now the water lines will be done. Hope that fixes it as the repair guy said there's nothing left to try. Seems this model, while many more bells and whistles than my old frig, is not as well designed and quality has apparently slipped.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had a problem with the unit when we first got it making a terrible noise. Technician replaced a part and it is fine and quiet now. The freezer could use another shelf, and one is offered as an added accessory for sale. With the price of this model, I felt it should be included.
