While it performs well, our complaint is that the grid plates for the burners are shiny black enamel with slick surfaces. The pans we use tend to slide off the burners due to the slick surfaces of the burners. The burner grates should have a rougher finish so the pots will not slide off. This design flaw needs to be corrected.
Pros: easy to use, Performance
Cons: not totally stainless steel as advertised, surface burners are too slick; pans tend to slide.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We ordered all new Kitchenaid stainless steel appliances in mid-March and had this installed in Mid-May.
The cooktop looks awesome! The units all work perfectly. Glass top very easy to clean.
Downdraft on low setting works fine for me.
I've had many compliments on how it looks on my island.

Easy to install, easy to use, super easy to clean. Top knobs are out of reach of kids, and different sized burners offer flexibility when cooking. Sleek surface fits in nicely with about any kitchen decor.
