I bought this Cook Top as part of a package of four KitchenAid appliances. All four compliment each other in design and have made my kitchen look like its out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine.
The functionality of the cook top is without comparison. The controls are placed perfectly, the igniter is the fastest that I have ever experienced in any gas appliance, and the raised burners provide a clear view of the flames adjustments.

I hada gas stove when I first married years ago. Throughout the years the houses that we've had all came with electric stoves. It is such a pleasure to come full circle back to gas cooking. The downdraft feature is absolutely wonderful. It was a little more challenging to have this system installed but worth every bit of it. Yes it is a little more difficult to keep the black perfectly clean but the look is just superb.

We had electric cooktop for last 10 years and when it broke down we decided to change to Gas cooktop since we didn't want to make too many structural changes we had to go with the same specification of our old electric cooktop because of which we had very little option and this came close to our requirements. Not very happy with this product as the gas flame is not even most of times and the down draft is so powerful that when we switch it on it pulls the flames towards it which ends in uneven cooking as a result we do not use the exhaust while cooking which is definitely a big problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We switched over an electric cooktop on our center island in our kitchen to this gas cooktop. We love to cook at home, and prepare breakfasts and suppers most days. The convenience and speed of cooking with gas is wonderful, no more waiting for the electric burner to heat up. We went through two electric cooktops previously because they would always crack eventually. We needed the center downdraft vent due to the location on the center island, and it works pretty efficiently, much better than the older pop-up vent behind the electric model. We're very pleased, and realize we should have done the switchover long ago.
