I like the cooktop easy to clean. The different size burners are really useful for different tasks. Works great.
The downside are the heavy duty knobs. You have to be extra genial with them. The connection to the stove is cheap plastic. We broke 3 in the first month. Poor design. Worried about how the rest will hold up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The unit is sleek looking in the kitchen. The ceramic top is easy to clean. The covered burners keep debris from getting in. I wish there was more than one high BTU burner to heat things quickly.

I am pleased with the product overall, the only minor issue I would have would be the slant/slope design of the burners, sometimes I feel like the cookware I am using is not level, but I love the coating used on the burners, the different sources of heat output, and the simmer burner! Even though the product is in the center of my island/kitchen, I love the look (for as nice as a cooktop can look). I would highly recommend this product

I love my new cooktop. It lights instantly and and is so easy to keep clean. It is also beautiful, sleek, and modern looking. Our old cook top was so difficult to light and keep clean. I feel like I have died and gone to heaven each time I use it.

This KitchenAid® 30-Inch, 4-Burner Downdraft Cooktop is a great looking cook top. The down draft exhaust fan works extremely well. The burners are electronic start and gas operated with great heat control. The only thing I do not like about it is that the Black Mirror Finish is extremely hard to clean, you would think that Kitchen Aid would make a product that the top shiny black glass finish can be easily wiped off with a mild detergent or a product like Windex. I hate to see what it will look like in 5 years of use.

Cons: very hard to keep the black glass top clean
