I purchased this cook top as a replacement for the Jenn-Air one that we put in the house when it was built 28 years ago. I spent quite a bit of time researching many brands, with the following 'musts' I wanted: stylish look, easy to clean, convenient control knobs right in front, different BTU-rated burners (as nice feature), and the requirement of downdraft venting. Everything is great....except the downdraft venting. My unit does NOT look like the diagram of the one in the Installation Manual - on mine, the box the power cord comes out of to connect to the blower motor is mounted at the front of the unit, and it is impossible to rotate the blower exhaust scroll 90 degrees to the 'down' position as the cord is too short. I am currently waiting for a reply from Customer Service on what their solution is to correct this.

down draft has a tendency to pull gas flame towards fan

I like the cooktop and the ability to get the proper cooking level. What I wasn't expecting was that the cooktop surface shows EVERYTHING and is hard to wipe clean. I really like how the grates connect together as it makes a stable surface for heavy pots and pots can easily go across several burners (this was impossible with our last cooktop).

I love this gas cooktop, beautiful design, heavy grates that can be removed easily and cleaned. The down draft works great and sufficient cooking space. Very happy with this appliance.

Love the look, but it is a challenge to keep the glass clean. We appreciate the high-output and simmer burners. Fourtunately this unit replaced our 22 year old Jenn- Air cook top perfectly. Our granite countertop would have made modifications problematic. The existing ductwork for the exhaust matched up perfectly.

I've had this for a month, after pining for a new stovetop for over a year. This has great control over the flame, and the different size burners let you fit the task and pot needed. While it's easy to sponge off and still looks brand new, it is a little bit of a challenge to keep the glass looking perfectly smudge free. I think that long term, this will look better and will not show stains or scratches, so overall a great stove top!
