I like the size and overall design of this refrigerator. I specially love the ice compartment being on the door of the freezer which provides more room inside the freezer compartment.

I am very pleased with my Whirlpool Regrigerator. I would recommed this model for anyone needing a big refrigerator for their family. It has a great deal of space, The shelves move out and it is easy to clean. I like all the lighting, one can easily fine things. Very roomy which allows for things not to be cluttered. It has an air filter and a water filter which I love! And above all it is an energy saver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

the features are very easy to understand and simple to work. The locking feature comes in handy when you have kids or dogs trying to get ice out of the dispenser. It has tons of space on both sides for whatever you need. The only issue we have had is the ice maker gets stuck occasionally and doesn't dispense ice, but it works itself out quickly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

FRIG SEEMS WELL MADE AND OFFERS ALOT FOTTHE MONEY....WE'RE NOT ENTHRALLED WITH THEICE SYSTEM...IT'S SLOW. THE DESIGN OF THE EGGSHELF IS CHEAP AND USES A CHEAP PLASTIC DOORTHAT IS PRONE TO FALLING APART....OTHER THANTHAT IT'S A FINE ADDITION TO OUR KITCHEN...

Not Quiet, No Cold Water

First half glass of dispensed water is not cold; second half glass is cold. Appears water line in refrigerator located in area where the line is not kept cold. Old GE we had did not have this problem.Refrigerator operation too noisy. Circulation fans make too much noise even after repairman replaced the freezer side fan.Ice maker in door has inadequate capacity even though it is making ice constantly. Crushed ice operation seems to be under-designed. Underpowered ice crusher gets stuck on ice cube and stops. Crushing discharge chute too large for most glasses. Crushed ice ends up on tray, front of refrigerator, and on floor.The old GE did not do this either.This refrigerator should not have been released for production until these shortcomings were corrected.Since have purchased new washer, not a Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Capacity and lighting are great but avoid in-door ice maker

I have owned the product one month and I regret the purchase. After having owned my previous side-by-side for nearly 13 yrs without a single issue I was convinced that Whirlpool was my only choice for a replacement when I remodeled the kitchen. I am convinced now that my old unit was the last reliable fridge I would own. In the month I have owned the unit it has only managed to produce three bins of ice. Now that I have done more research I realize I should have stayed with the basic ice and water dispenser with the analog controls for cooling. I even went to the extent to purchase an extended warranty because of my lack of faith in the the control center mounted in the door. My fear is that it will fail making the entire appliance useless and I am hazard to guess what a replacement would cost. Considering that I paid nearly twice the price for this fridge than my last one I would have expected better from the mfg.What sold me on the unit was the capacity and energy efficiency; my wife liked the lighting as well. Beyond this, there is not much that separates this model from the lower-end offerings. Other items of mention, the upper and lower shelves on the door are not interchangeable. I feel they should have provided one additional lower door shelf due to provide additional versatility. I purchased the stainless finish to match my other appliances. If you purchase this model be prepared to clean it constantly. My previous white unit did not show the fingerprints nearly as much as this one does. I have always been happy with my whirlpool appliances in the past and it is a shame this unit has tarnished my opinion.

This fridge is pretty dang nice. I love it, except for the ice dispensor. When the wife is getting ice you couldn't here a plane land, but to be fair, she always gets the crushed ice, and, well, crushing ice is bound to make a little noise. Other than that it's performing flawlessly. Lighting is cool, and so is everything else. I'd recommend it to friends and family.
