I put it together by myself in about 30 minutes without any problems. All parts were there and all fit together very well.

I really did not want to purchase this based on family and friend reviews. However, we do not burn often and for the price and the fact that it has wheels so it is easily movable we purchased it based on our needs. The instructions and how they have things labeled for assembly was not very user friendly but we managed to get it together. If you burn often or burn HOT fires, this is not the fire pit for you as the expanded metal walls will warp. If you casually burn here and there twigs and yard scraps then this is the perfect fit.

I bought this product thinking it was cheaply made, but I was wrong. It is very well built and sturdy. The draft feature is awesome for nice hot fires on those chilly nights

Functional and Durable Great Value

I have purchased this unit in the past. In fact I owned two of them and they provided many years of service. The fit and finish of the parts of this unit were generally excellent. It's a minor science project but a person with moderate handy person skills should have no problem assembling it. This fireplace is also great to take on camping trips and helps conserve wood by being able to avoid large fire pits. One major suggestion I would have has to do with connection of the screen and screen door assembly to the lower bowel base. My previous fireplaces had no holes to attach the fence assembly to the bowel. As a result, when the fireplace was moved to a different location in the yard, the fence assembly would frequently fall off. This new model has two holes front and back in both the fence assemble and the lower bowel so the two can be attached. This resolves the fence assembly falling off issue. That's a plus. But I question, why doesn't the manufacturer put four bolts in the lower fence assembly front, back, and on both sides. The problem although minor is that when the fence assembly is first assembled, the fence is not in a true circular shape. It does not fit tight around the lower bowel when first installed and at time the user has to fiddle with the top to get it on just right. Over time these problems go away after the fireplace is used and the fireplace material is subjected to heat and the metal conforms to the fireplace dimensions. But I would ask why assume that will occur. Drill a couple more holes in the lower fence and bowel, one on each side and the problem never exists and the whole screen assembly is better secured to the lower bowel. The hardware that comes with the fireplace is organized and has good quality control. All the hardware needed was provided. My biggest recommendation for improvement would be for the assembly instructions. As is they are ok, maybe I would give them a grade of "C", but there is a lot of room for improvement. First better illustration of the legs and what the correct positioning should be or label them "left" or right". Next I would expect to see verbiage as to the type of tools to be used for any step such as "insert M6x15 screw/nut using a 10mm wrench and straight slot screwdriver or at least call out what tools are needed for assembly in the front of the instruction booklet. There is nothing in the instructions that advises the user to orient the two front and back screen/screen door with the holes in them down. and there is nothing whatsoever in the instructions that directs the used to attach the fence assembly to the lower bowel. That is a major oversight. Other than improving the instructions and diagrams though, this fireplace now assembled is sure to provide many years of service. I highly recommend purchasing this fireplace.
