I easily put this together. Ready for hotdogs!!
I like the safety screen to see the fire. You can remove the screen and use the lid to smother the fire. (I use oven mitts. ) I also like the fact that it can be moved wherever I want it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Assembly Problems

We have assembled many products in the past, however, this product had defective screens which made it impossible to assemble it so it would fit into the base. The four screen pieces were almost flat when we started. They eventually made an oval. After a lot of bending and pushing, we finally got a partial fit. Since this was going to be a Mother"s Day present for a 90+ year old woman, we have major concerns with the screens staying on the base! We are afraid the screen will "pop" off and she will be unable to get it back on by herself. (It took two of us pushing from opposite sides to get it on the base.)

Screen need to be redesigned

This is the 3rd patio fireplace we have purchased over the last 15 years. This time getting the screen to fit in the bowl was quite an accomplishment. It was too big for the bowl. After a few hours of trying different things we ended up over lapping two sections of the screen, then it fit. This is the first time the screen came in an oval shape instead of a circle, it took a lot of work but we finally got it reshaped. It still isn't perfectly round.

I bought this last November and put it together in April 2015. It was easy to assemble . I am impressed with the safety locking gate on front of unit . It can easily be moved from one place to another.

It is like a child designed this product

I got this fire pit as a gift. My doubt about this product started with the assembly instructions. The second picture in assembly step #6 is not even described in the text!!! Several times the washers were pictured on the wrong side, because the lock washers were too small for the holes in the metal. Additionally, the screen, once assembled was not even round. It had an oval shape and had to be deformed to fit the bowl - who even designed this??? Also, nobody apparently proof-read the instructions - what is over cleaner? I assume it is supposed to be oven cleaner? Well, I have not used this fire pit yet, and hope that it's performance will be better than my first impressions of this product.

Not as durable as I had hoped

I received this product a little over a week ago. Assembly was fairly easy. I made relatively small fire of twigs and branches, started with newspaper. I started to smell plastic burning after a few minutes and was confused, because I knew all I had thrown in was clean wood and paper. Too late, I realized that the wheels were melting. For the price I didn't expect the best fire pit, but that was a small fire, and the wheels are pretty much shot.

hollow plastic wheels & flimsy parts

I just picked this up and assembled it. It's extremely light weight in it's pieces. I through out my previous one that was 2-3 times heavier. The hollow plastic wheels are a joke and the screen section needs to be bent around, quite a bit, to make the attachment holes line up. I'm almost afraid to host a fire in it! I'd gladly pay double for a good unit!
