Poor constructed cover!!

Initially had problems with the controller but Z grill sent me a new one. By Oct 2019, I purchased it in March 2019, the cover was ripped because of the sharp edges on the hopper. I taped on side and so far this year, 2020, I have had to tape the other side. The cover shrinks and when it’s put on and unless it is there are two people, you will tear it. The company sells no replacement covers so everyone is out of luck.

Smoker, an adventure

Received this May 1st. It then proceeded to rain for 8 straight days. Finally got it put together. It was very straight forward although one thing was you put the door on first. If I had to do it again, I would put it on last or tape it shut. The reason is you have to put the grill on its side to put the legs on and the lid flops around.Anyway, went through the initial firing procedure with no problems. Made sausage and hamburgers as my first smoker experience. The sausage was to die for. The burgers could have been used as hockey pucks. This was not the smokers fault, everyone in my home insisting on well done burgers. In an hour and a half, by crackies, they were DONE.Overall I am very satisfied with this but I definitely have to learn what I am doing

This is a Day 1 review. It came packaged very well with good instructions and a parts kit which comes with all necessary tools. Not the best quality but they work.Assembly was very straightforward and easy. It took a bout an hour casually working on it so i would say easy to assemble.I followed the burn in instructions ans all went weel. Fortunately i didn't have any out of the box issues and got it ready as expected.It holds temp very well BUT you have to be patient. Follow the directions and start it on Smoke and let it run a couple minutes. Then set your desired temp. Once you set your temp, it will most likely overshoot it at first but stabilizes at the desired temp. Yes, it may overahoot the temp by 50 degrees but will bring it back down. BE PATIENT!!!The only real con i have is that it does not have a shelf on the front like my wood smoker. Otherwise, it is a well thought out unit that delivers as advertised.I'm about to grille some NY Strips this evening and smoke a pork butt this weekend. I expect it to perform well being much easier and consistent than my wood smoker.

I had a little damage in shipping but I contacted zgrills and they took care of me. Great smoker. I’ve made 2 pulled porks, sweet potato’s, chicken thighs and smoked some bacon. Everything came out great.

Price and Quality love my Z Grill

I purchased the grill and it came damaged, its pretty heavy and I can see why. I returned the grill and they shipped my second one, it took forever to get and I even had to go to UPS to pick it up, all and all it was a disaster. So why 5 stars? Because once I got the grill put it together and started smoking with it I was very happy. The grill is large and you can smoke a lot. I have used it a hand full of times in the past few weeks and I can not be more happy. I am so happy I went with the Z grill. If you are a novice smoker a pellet smoker is the way to go. I did steaks on the grill and the came out great, the only complaint is the fact that you will not get great grill marks, but I can live with that. One other thing, buy a pizza stone and do pizza, amazing..

Great grill for the money! Need to use a second internal thermometer though, the one inside isn’t totally accurate. Love it though!
