The grill came in dented and missing a part, but I worked it out with customer service hopefully. The grill cooks as it should and the wood pellets does have a very good flavor. It is an indirect heat cook so if you like that, you will like this grill.

I received the grill in 5 business days from when I ordered it. I've figured out after the first 2 smokes that I needed to dial in the vent right away to get consistent cook temps. Once I did that my temp stays steady 5°+/- which gave me peace of mind to set it and forget it. I absolutely would recommend this grill if you are just starting out or if you just don't want to have to over pay for a big name.

Best Smoker/Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was easy to build and break in. Super easy to use with great even temperatures. It is truly set it and forget it. Was able to fit a pork butt, double turkey breast, and country pork ribs all in one smoke. Thermometers work great and the app allows you to set temp alarms. I highly recommend this smoker to beginner or advanced smoke enthusiasts. Well done Z Grills

Great experience start to first cook!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the single box was heavy, the goodies inside were cleverly packed and arrived undamaged. The assembly was greatly assisted by having all fasteners on a card. Every threaded hole was perfectly aligned and each part attached easily, especially for a one man assembly crew. I found it easiest to first place the barrel upside down on a large dog bed to avoid scratches then assemble the base onto it from above. From that position I was easily able to rotate the entire unit to a upright position to do the lid, hopper and final details. First cook was uneventful and I found the temperature regulation worked well. When I cleaned up the unit, I was astonished to find only about a half-cup of ash in the firebox and loose in the bottom, this amount from the initial 45 min at 450 plus 2 hours of 250 average temp. Very efficient.

Love this thing!

Assembly was super simple and went together quickly. First think I cooked was ribeye. I did the reverse sear. I couldn't believe how tender and flavorful the steak was. Been cooking and looking for things to smoke or grill. Temps great doesn't fluctuate much at all. I made some bomb chicken wings tonight in a real short time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grill went together very easily, no help required. The temp controller holds temp perfectly within specs. Seems pretty good quality. Just wish the shipping companies would take more care with the cookers when in transit.
