I have only used this for one trip so far, but on this occasion my husband's cheaper case was very scratched, mine was unmarked on arrival. The only possible problem that I have found is that you have to lay it flat when open to access contents, which could be a problem in a small hotel room. I am hoping that this suitcase will live up to the Samsonite reputation and last many years. I loved seeing it clearly coming round the carousel.
