Compact to fullphone - do not disappoint

I needed a modern, usable phone that not only latest all day, was not a brick in my back pocket - and the Razr's folding design helps so much! It's snappy, offers neat folding features (tent clock mode and video camcorder are my favorite). The 2025 and 2026 cases are interchangeable - i just wish i could wireless charge with a ring magnet mount in the car. Adding a metal ring to the case negates wireless charging.

Solid phone with an interesting form factor

My reference point is the Pixel 8 Pro this phone replaced. The screen is nice. You can't visually see the folding area of the inner screen except in certain light. You can certainly feel it, but it doesn't bother me at all. The outer screen is cool, and after a bit of adjustment, it's pretty easy to adjust what you want to see on the external display. The form factor while folded is really nice. The hinge feels solid enough. Battery life is pretty good, not exceptional. Sound quality isn't great. The P8 had much better sound through the speakers. Cameras seem average. P8's cameras seemed better. Performance/speed seems good. Too much AI garbage on the phone, but I know that's the way all phones are going. But do I really need Moto AI AND Perplexity? Answer: no, I don't. I'm still trying to figure out the best use case for the folding form factor - it's cool, but is it really adding much over just a normal slab phone?

LOVE THIS PHONE!
on November 10, 2025

I bought this phone about a month ago, and I LOVE it! I switched from iPhone because it seems Apple is just getting further behind and caring more about money than their customers now. I saw some good reviews on this phone, and since I had used their Droids for work when I was at Verizon, I thought I'd give it a go. No regrets! To put it into perspective, I had only ever owned an iPhone since the 3G. Moving data from the iPhone to the Razr wasn't great, but for me that was alright. I just decided to start over on contacts as I had collected over 800 since high school. lol. I was able to export only the ones I wanted to keep from iCloud, so no problem there. A few things I have had to get used to. There isn't a single photos app that shows ALL photos. If there is, it's confusing and doesn't actually pick up all photos. Google Photos is mostly for backing up photos you add to it directly. So some images will save to the device's files. There have been a few other things I have had to adjust to, but nothing that was too much to turn me away. They were just different. Overall, LOVE the phone. I love the outer screen, and find myself using it a lot unless I must open my phone.

ruined by ai
on April 12, 2026

I've had it for a few months now and though the phone works well overall, the ai sludge weighs it down tremendously. There's a button that I can't make usual, and it's incredibly cheap feeling to be created by baked in Motorola apps with ai generated images. For how expensive the phone is, this is essentially unredeemable to me not just from a product perspective but from an ethics one and unless addressed I'm certainly going to look to a different company for my next phone. I'm not alone in this sentiment, I don't know anyone who enjoys looking at ai generated images, and the opinion that ai is being forced down consumer's throats seems pretty common. The "ai" button needs to be reprogrammable, and stuff baked into the phone just can't be ai generated, it's so cheap. Disappointed as before this I quite liked Motorola

My all time favorite flip phone.
on April 23, 2026

from Fort Wayne, Indiana
I'll start by saying that I was never planning on getting a flip phone. Don't get me wrong I love the concept of flip phones. Taking less space in your pockets. To being able to end the call by close the phone. But my main gripe was the screen. I used to have a Samsung flip. I forgot what version it was. Back in 2020, and I had to return that phone 3 times since the screen kept cracking at the crease.
But after seeing the deal to get the 1TB version of this phone as a free upgrade, for the price. I couldn't pass on the deal. And so far I'm loving this phone. Everything about it! To the 68 watt charging. OLED panel. Side mounted finger print scanner in the power button. S physical sims tray slot. Oh and before I forgot. Since they don't mention this at all under the specs for some reason. This phone does have Ultra Wide Band, but only for the ultra. The other variants do not have it. So if you have a car that uses a virtual key. It will detect your phone as a key unlocking and locking your car based on towards it or away.
My favorite part of this phone is the screen on the back. I love that I can answer calls or use apps without having to open the phone up. Keep in mind you'll need to give the apps permission to use the back screen. Also cam corder mode is super cool same with the view finder for selfies using the back cameras or to show people what the camera sees before you take the picture as a view finder.
I believe one of the most unique parts about this phone is that you can actually use face unlock through the back cameras. In all phones so far face unlock only works with the front camera. But the fact I can keep this phone closed and just look at it and have it open is insane to me.
My only complaint is that this phone does come with some bloatware but you can uninstall most things. Including the AI functions in case you don't want or like AI. All can be removed. I also don't like that the button on the left side of the phone can't be rebinded to anything other than the AI function but this can easily be fixed with an update.
Also keep in mind the back material is completely different based on the color you get. The green and red are two different types of leather material and the other two colors are more like a wood grain material. Keep that in mind if you want a nice feeling back material.
Overall I highly recommend this phone and I will come back to update this if I ever have a problem with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So much fun

I bought this over a month ago. I love it!! It's so fun! the crease is barely noticeable. I switched from iphone so there was a bit of an adjustment period but I still would choose this phone over apple 100 times. Plus there's a ton of storage on mine. I'll never have to worry about running out of storage again
