I’ve had this setup for about a month now, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my living room. I paired it with a Samsung TV (which really makes a difference thanks to Q-Symphony), and it instantly turned my movie nights into something way more immersive.
Sound Quality
The sound is massive. You get actual surround sound with the rear speakers and height channels, so things like rain or helicopters feel like they’re really above you. It’s not just loud—it’s detailed. Dialogue is clear even in action scenes, and that’s partly thanks to the Active Voice Amplifier.
The bass hits hard too. The subwoofer is wireless and packs a punch without being muddy. You feel explosions, not just hear them.

This new awesome sound bar includes AI processing for your Samsung TV, and Space fit feature that automatically adjust clarity bases on the location room you’re in makes me wonder about AI as a positive thing.
This Samsung Q900 soundbar has 9 speakers with built in amps and a massive powerful subwoofer. These 9 speakers have a dedicated center speaker providing excellent audio then add the side and front drivers for the surround Dolby atoms quality. The 9 speakers make the surround sound feel like you’re at the movies especially when you have like an airplane or an explosion the subwoofer pushes that out to bring that big bang sound alive. First, let’s talk about specs. The HW-Q900F is a 7.1.2 channel soundbar setup. It includes 7 combined front and side firing channels, 1 subwoofer, and 2 upward firing speakers. The soundbar brings Wireless Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony with compatible Samsung TVs, smaller wireless subwoofer, and SpaceFit Sound.
Samsung has stayed with previous generation design for the most part. The fit and finish for both soundbar and sub are excellent. Material feels very durable and high quality. Even the sticker with the soundbar’s spec feels high quality. This is a top tier premium device.
The HW-Q900F offers several connectivity options, including 1 x HDMI-eARC, 1x HDIM, Digital Audio In (Optical), bluetooth pairing, and Tap to sound.
Specs mean nothing if the soundbar can’t perform. I’m going to put this to rest and say the performance remains top notch and Samsung has done nothing less than to continue setting the gold standard for soundbars. One of the first things that pleasantly surprised me was the subwoofer – it has a remarkably small footprint for the powerful bass it delivers, making placement much easier than I anticipated.
The soundbar itself does have some heft and is larger than my previous unit, but that's understandable given the technology packed inside. Aesthetically, it looks sharp with its angular design, fitting well under the TV. The real standout, however, is the sound quality. It absolutely delivers on the promise of true 7.1.2 channel surround sound. Watching movies has become incredibly immersive; the system creates a wide soundstage with clear separation, and the up-firing channels add that crucial height dimension, especially noticeable with Dolby Atmos content. You really feel enveloped in the action, transported beyond just watching a screen.
The passthrough feature is excellent and works seamlessly, simplifying connections. HW-Q900F Soundbar

The sound quality is outstanding—crystal-clear dialogue, deep bass, and a powerful surround sound effect that makes everything feel more immersive. The sound woofer is compact yet has a deep, powerful sound. The sleek, low-profile design fits perfectly in front of my TV without taking up too much space. Connecting the soundbar was quick and easy, and I appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with my Samsung TV. I own a Samsung Galaxy Fold phone, and I love that I can just tap the soundbar and it will sync easily and play anything from my phone. Also, the Q-Symphony feature is intuitive. It connected to our TV quickly, without a maze of wires or a bunch of tech headaches. Plus, it looks sleek and modern.
When it comes to sound, the HW-Q900F completely impressed me. Whether it's family movie nights, my husband watching sports, or the kids gaming or streaming shows, the sound fills the room beautifully. Dialogue is super clear — no more cranking the volume up and down — and the bass is strong but never drowns everything else out. It makes our TV time feel a lot more like a theater experience, right at home.
One little hiccup I ran into was when streaming YouTube: at first, the sound wasn’t syncing perfectly with the video. It was a bit frustrating (especially after I had just finished setting everything up myself!), but after some adjusting and updating, it worked much better. Just something to be aware of if you do a lot of streaming.
