[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this soumdbar for a short time. It sounds decent when it's working correctly. Multiple times ive already had to unplug power for it to get back to working correctly. Frustrating when samsung is the only product I use, and that's all it hooked up to.

We appreciate you taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-Q900F Soundbar.
Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.
If not connected to the internet, you can download it onto a USB device, and then upload it to your soundbar - no wireless connection required. Connect the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.
1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner.
2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
- During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
- If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
- When the latest version is installed, no update is performed.
- Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

Very simple product with minimal hassle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had this system paired with a samsung 85" smart TV for alittle over a 6 months now, using the q-symphony sounds setting, flawlessly. No trouble setting it up, or pairing, found that the hdmi arc is superior to the optical due to volume controls, and sounds quality. Highly recommend all Samsung sound bars to all, generally for the smooth setup and application control interface when paired with wifi.

Great sound from this soundbar and subwoofer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this soundbar in a covered room. Using the HDMI eARC from my TV enables power on/off using the TV remote. Setting up the treble/bass as well as top firing speakers( atmos feature works great). Adjusting the tone and volume is best set after many hours of critical listening, still making minor tweaks to the sub volume control but this time is well spent as it really highlights the effort Samsung Engineers gave to this design. Listening to this system is pure joy. The sound is crisp and clean, with great bass that truly thumps. I like to listen to my music loud and this system does not disappoint. I have adjusted the top firing speakers such that the audio seems like it comes from the center of my 75" TV. This combination makes watching Music videos like you are in a private concert hall. So very glad I purchased this Samsung soundbar and subwoofer. My only complaint is with the resolution of the volume control as I wish the designers would have allocated 2 more bits to the control for subtle volume adjustments. This is certainly not a deal breaker as this system is truly outstanding. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. I listened to perhaps a dozen or so soundbars before deciding on this Samsung system. The Q series soundbars really puts Samsung squarely on the map for must listen to for sound system. I was pleasantly surprised. Great job Samsung. BTW the side firing speakers do a good for insuring there is not a bad seat.

Beast of a soundbar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this soundbar is no joke. It is more powerful than any other soundbar I have used in the past. The crispness of the lows and highs is unapparelled. I am not sure how Samsung did it but with most soundbars you get very low voices during movies and loud music but this soundbar is perfect in all ways. The esthetic of both pieces also fit in great for what I imagine is any environment. Super easy setup as well. Its plug and play at its finest!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second sound bar from Samsung and I have to say I really love it, the upgrade it's amazing. For a small room it sounds awesome, more than enough, most of the times I use it for gaming and music and I have to put the volume level below 20 cause it sound really loud and rich without affect quality. It might be expensive but it worth it if you appreciate good sound.
