[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well for spot cleaning, and I love the extras that came in the package. I would like for there to be greater capacity, however. Even for a portable unit, the amount that it will hold before it auto-shuts off is small, only about half of the dirty water tank attached (I think it uses a float valve to shut itself off when it gets to a certain point).

The Hoover CleanSlate Portable Carpet Cleaner did absolutely nothing for my carpet. It did not clean my carpet nor did it remove any stains. Horrible product. ITS GARBAGE. SAVE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY. When I called Customer Service, I received a message that they're closed and to call during business hours. I called four times between 1pm-4pm EST (business hrs), and did not reach anyone at all. Because of the horrible product and the poor customer service, I will NEVER purchase a Hoover product again. Since I will not pay $50 out of my own pocket to return it, its going in the garbage. Its so bad that its not worthy of a donation! DO NOT RECOMMEND.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used it 3 times already since I've bought it a couple weeks ago. I've cleaned stains from my couch to the dog throw up on the rug and carpet. This thing rocks. Pro tip - don't be lazy and clean the nozzle/house with water from your sink right after use and it'll be clean and ready for use next time.
