[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stairs were in bad shape, I was sure we'd have to replace the carpet after several pets and kid traffic. Unbelievable results! I had to pretreat the worst areas then let it sit 10/15 minutes.I then made a full tank batch for a large are just because of how dirty it was. Honestly, still extremely doubtful. I began to respray each stair and rubbing till I saw foam then began to suction it up. The trick is the areas that were pretreated needed to have extra attention so I just watched the intake and once it stopped sucking up the grossness I would go elsewhere. You must be patient but I was surprised how dry the carpet was...like shocked but in a great way! I would highly recommend this product! This was not dome done in twenty minutes like some videos suggest but this is 6 years of yuck so under 3 hours with a lot of distractions/ breaks was still yielding fabulous results.

The spray pattern does not give you a nice fan pattern to work with it just kind of drips out of the hose when used ..the suction is also very weak..not a good purchase on my part. Not impressed with this unit at all.

I have one from another manufacturer which also works fine but this Hoover wins out for several reasons. First, I appreciate the different attachment sizes. With 3 to choose from, I can clean anything from larger surfaces to the smaller, nooks and crannies. Most important to me is how easily this machine itself is cleaned up. Carpet cleaners get so gross but this one is easy to clean and comes perfectly clean. I definitely recommend this product.
