Very handy for small areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try my Hoover CleanSlate Pet Spot Cleaner on my welcome mats and stair treads. This carpet cleaner is the perfect size for moving around the house to different spots. It was really simple to learn how to operate it, and I love how easily the water and waste tanks snap together and come apart. The water tank holds just enough water to do small carpets which keeps the complete unit nice and compact. The attachments work great at getting up any pet hair or stains, and the vacuum is strong so it doesn't leave water behind on your carpets. It's even easy to keep clean, as it has a tool built-in that cleans out the hose so it doesn't get mildew or smell terrible after use. This worked really great on my carpets even after I had recently used a full-sized carpet cleaner on my welcome mats. This little machine pulled even more dirt out of them. I highly recommend this to anyone with pets or even just anyone who needs a portable, easily stored carpet cleaner for small areas of the home.

This portable carpet cleaner is worth it. It's very easy to use and maintain/clean. I find using the Hoover Premix spot cleaning solutions works best. The Hoover Design Engineers got this one done right. Thanks!!!

Works wonders to remove years of dirt on rugs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a couple different ways to clean my carpets such as cleaning them by hand, etc. I think this is the most effective and best way to clean a dirty spot on a carpet or any upholstery. I liked that this spot cleaner was portable and I was able to move it around with ease. I was able to clean a white headboard that after some years began to stain yellow. The key is to pre-soak the area and then make sure there's enough treatment, per instructions, in order to effectively remove any stains. Obviously if you don't put a lot of the treatment in, it'll just run water which may be fine for lighter stains but most stains require more of the carpet treatment. I would definitely recommend this product if you're looking for a portable device that can clean many different stains.

She jumped on my bed during a bad storm and had an accident ON MY BED one night! I tried EVERYTHING to get the stain out. Nothing worked. Then I got the CleanSlate. FINALLY! It WORKED!!!! It's so easy to use and I love the convenience of being able to just grab it out of my closet and know that I can depend on it to work rather than grabbing an armful of cleaning products in hopes that one would work only to be disappointed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Especially for anyone with pets and/or children. Tougher stains may take more than 1 use per the user manual, I saw SIGNIFICANT improvement after 1 use.
