First time using it. It leaked the dirty water all over my floor from what looked like the hose connection into the dirty water tank. Made a huge mess.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible product. Do not recommend!!

BEWARE They are removing one star reviews!!! This is my second post. The Hoover CleanSlate Portable Carpet Cleaner did absolutely nothing for my carpet. It did not clean my carpet nor did it remove any stains. Horrible product. ITS GARBAGE. SAVE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY. When I called Customer Service, I received a message that they're closed and to call during business hours. I called four times between 1pm-4pm EST (business hrs), and did not reach anyone at all. Because of the horrible product and the poor customer service, I will NEVER purchase a Hoover product again. Since I will not pay $50 out of my own pocket to return it, its going in the garbage. Its so bad that its not worthy of a donation! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Absolutely awful

This machine will clog and will not clear itself. Lasts the 90 days the warranty is covered then will die. Hoover really let's you down and this will waste your money. Absolute let down of a machine. You would be better off buying a scrub brush than this waste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Spot Cleaner works very well. We had several urine spots from our two dogs. The CleanSlate Pet Carpet spot cleaner mad the clean up job much easier, even though toe stains had been on the carpet for a few months. My only complaint is that the hose seemed too short making turning the unit around to shine the light on the unit difficult to use and clean at the same time. Clean up of the equipment was easy and the instructions were clear.
