I had a Dyson Outsize that I really liked but it broke within the first year. Dyson couldn’t get the parts for it and sent me what they called an upgrade the Dyson V11. It okay but I think it’s noisier than my other one & the main vacuum head doesn’t have the extra my Outsize did
I never knew sweeping could be so fun! I didn’t realize my old sweeper was so bad until I began sweeping with the new Dyson. I had to empty the dirt several times at first. I love how it glides around chairs and corners plus reaching under furniture. My back loves it too as it is so lightweight.
It’s just over a month old and already stopped working so now I have to find time to take it to the service center which is over an hour away. Very disappointed with Dyson for the first time.

I've wanted a Dyson for many years now and just didn't want to fork out the cash for it. I thought, how good could it really be? So, I kept buying and replacing vacuums every stinking year. At this point, I could have bought several Dysons! Anyway, I finally bit the bullet and bought one and all I can say is WOW. There are so many little things that are great about this that I will definitely forget some.
Pros: Power! This baby picks up everything even when it's on medium speed! Cordless: I LOVE that I'm not constantly throwing a cord around so that I don't trip on it or run it over!
Vacuuming Stairs: All of the uprights I have had stop vacuuming when the position of the upright is straight up and down. This makes vacuuming stairs difficult because you're not at the same angle that you are when you vacuum other areas. Well, the Dyson keeps vacuuming no matter what position it's in! This makes vacuuming stairs SUPER easy!
Emptying the canister: I love how this empties without making any sort of mess. My old vacuum was so awkward and I always ended up getting some on the floor when I was emptying the canister.
Weight: I've got arthritis in my spine which makes sweeping and vacuuming difficult for me. But I am able to easily use this vacuum with no pain due to how lightweight it is!
Timer: The Dyson v11 that I have has 3 settings (low, med, high) and there is a built in timer that tells you how much is left in the battery when in each setting.
Storage: I love that this is intended to be mounted on a wall and that it doesn't fall all over the place when it's put away properly. My old vacuum just sat in my closet and if I accidentally bumped it, it would slide sideways and hit other stuff. This guy stays right where I put him and there is no risk of it falling over.
Cons: Battery Time: When it's fully charged and set to medium, I've got about 33 minutes (less when in high, and more when in low speeds). Thankfully, I only need about 25 minutes to get through my entire house (carpet and non-carpeted areas). However, if you have a larger house than I do, there is a chance you could run out of juice before you finish your vacuuming. I would think the batter would be able to run at least 45 minutes on medium.
Storage: I may have missed it, but I don't see where there is a place for the couple of little attachments that come with the vacuum. Minor problem in the scheme of things, but just thought it was worth mentioning since my attachments are currently laying on the floor of the closet where the vacuum is mounted.
I'd give it 10 stars if I could and would DEFINITELY buy again!!
