We bought this Dyson to replace a 22-year old vacuum cleaner. The Dyson has great suction and removed an amazing amount of dust from our low pile carpet on our first use. It goes easily from our hardwood floor areas to carpeted areas. I am happy with the light weight and the cleaning power of our new Dyson!

I am a big dyson fan but like the V8 a little better - this one you have to detach from the base part to empty and it is not real easy to do that (frustrating) and it is more top heavy but it does do a good job -

I rarely ever leave reviews, but I have to here. This is my second cordless Dyson. My first one lasted 10+ years. My new Dyson works just as well as the old one, if not better. It certainly came with far more attachments! I have a cat that sheds a lot, and this vacuum is great for picking up hair that I don't even know is there! I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone that has pets!
