This is our 3rd Dyson vacuum. Our first was the yellow DC07 upright, which we absolutely loved! Our second was a purple ball animal vacuum, which we did not like so much, but got the job done, until recently, the mechanism that keeps it upright quit working, along with the hose not wanting to so back in smoothly. I was never a fan of the ball type vacuums, but at the time of purchase it was the one in our price point.
After, doing some research on the Dyson cordless models, I decided on the V11. I wasn't sure if I would like the full weight of the vacuum being "my muscle responsibility" but I am happy to report it has been just fine. The canister capacity has been fine also. We have an 1800 sq ft house with a golden retriever and cat and all hard surface floors, so there is definitely "pet glitter" to vacuum. I am able to vacuum the whole house and empty once at the end, so I think that is pretty awesome! The ability to get under furniture has been amazing also.
The V11 Extra came with many attachments and so far I haven't used them all, but I would expect that in true Dyson fashion that they work well. We purchased a stand for the vacuum (from Amazon), since this is not something that stands on its own. The stand houses all of the attachments and can charge on the stand as well.
Over all we are happy with our purchase and love the ease of going to grab the vacuum to get a mess picked up quickly, without the extra hassle of undoing a cord and wrapping it back up. I would highly recommend this product!
Love this vacuum! The battery lasts fir my entire house. Its easy to use and reaches everywhere i need it to. I have a robotic vacuum that I sent way more on that no longer works properly. This Dyson vacuum replaces it and makes it so much easier!!
I bought this model due to its sale price and the efficiency claims compared to the lower model, which was more expensive. This Dyson is relatively heavy and does not perform well on large area rugs even on eco low or medium power ; however, it provides strong suction. The Dyson will not move over the rug to be able to vacuum properly. The canister empties efficiently, although occasionally debris needs to be removed manually. The motorized power works great on tile floors. The battery maintains its charge, allowing for cleaning of the entire house in one session. My previous V7 worked well on area rugs, so I will need to find an alternative solution for that purpose.
To be fair…my new V11 is up against my old V10! While the V11 does an incredible job and the filtration far exceeds the V10, it’s the weight that is a negative. The V11 is significantly heavier than the 10 and due to a shoulder injury I really feel the difference. That said, I actually don’t mind vacuuming with a Dyson!
