This is my 5th Dyson and like all the others it does a phenomenal job. It was bought to somewhat replace the wonderful canister, which is heavy and cumbersome to drag around, which we'd been using on tile and hardwood. I had low expectations that the V11 could perform as well as the canister, but it does. It picks up every bit of cat litter and hair along with lots of dust. And I won't begin to describe the amount of cat hair it pulled off the cat tree using the handvac. I'm a 102 lb weakling and it's not too heavy for me.

I chose this vacuum based on the advice of your people in Phoenix and for cat litter and hair. It picks it up just fine, however when you turn it off, most of the debris is dumped on the floor. A friend who has a Dyson vacuum said you didn't have the correct attachment from Dyson for wood floors. The problem was due to having the one for carpets. He looked at all of the attachments I have and said I didn't have the right noe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought the vacuum for occasional use and it works well. Our only complaint is that the handle configuration makes it tireing to use. there is too much weight on the hand at a odd angle.
