I've been using the V11 for a couple of weeks. It does a great job of picking up pet hair and dust. One significant flaw is that head unit is heavy and awkward. I may have to find another brand that is more ergonomic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have loved Dyson for a long time. Now have the V11 cordless. My only complaint is the button to release the battery is positioned to be easily bumped and it releases the battery! I almost had a heart attack!

I got this as an upgrade to a Dyson Animal that I had for years (with no problems). It was a good upgrade, the V11 has more power and a longer running time than the Animal. The attachments are fine, I use the wand and the rotary attachment the most, primarily to get dog hair out of my truck. This would be a 5-star review, but the downside is the battery life at full suction power is about 8 minutes. Eco is useless for dog hair on car seat material, the mid-level is ok, but takes longer than it does at full power. If Dyson had a battery that gave 20+ minutes at full power, this handvac would be even more awesome. Filtration seems to be fine.
