Heavy and expensive

All Dysons are expensive. You could buy a European vacuum for the same price. Battery power is subpar, cyclone patent expired, not serviceable (disposable), heavy for all tasks, floor head is not adjustable, not suitable for hard floors, and damages carpet. I guess the unit is ok for small jobs with different floor heads but for that it is way over priced and not competitive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great section, versatility, and no cord!

My spouse and I purchased this model about a month ago and one of our requirements was to be able to clean spots on our high pile carpet, which our upright Dyson would not do. this model is great, and can be used for practically any surface, as we use the eco-setting for high pile and the regular for lower pile, rugs, and for hard wood floors. The suction is great, and the variety of attachments a very well thought out. So easy to carry this from room to room and vacuum the house in a fraction of the time due to the fact that there’s no longer any cord to be plugged in. Terrific.

Very happy with my purchase

Previous vacuum lasted 30 years! Purchased Dyson 9/22. I have 3 cats. I am so pleased with my new Dyson 11. Favorite features are cordless, compact - no canister to lug around and up/down stairs, no bumping into furniture, effective, laser light. I have hardwood, and laminate throughout home with throw rugs at outside doors and at sink/stove. My Dyson handles both surfaces with one pass so I spend less time vacuuming. This is why battery lasts long enough to do whole house. The amount of micro dust swept up is amazing. One dissatisfaction is the weight of the battery. I’ve switched to all battery style yard equipment and most of my batteries weigh less than the Dyson unit. Having had two broken wrists and being 74 yrs old this weight is a bit much when using on furniture and in car. I hope Dyson can rework the battery weight without compromising this effective vacuum.

Excellent stick vacuum

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and have been very pleased with both the ease of assembly and use. One feature that could be improved would be to change the trigger to a on/off button as the trigger can become tiring after a while. The product has up to a 60 minute battery life but it’s hard to use the trigger to operate continuously for that long. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Gives me a blister because it's top heavy...

Picks up well, but I think there should definitely be a trigger accessory so you don't have to hold the trigger all the time. It gets heavy and gives me a blister between my thumb and forefinger although I try to hold it so the weight isn't all in that area of my hand. Cleans well and I love the battery life. I called to suggest, but Dyson wasn't interested.

A new approach

I have used traditional style vacuums all of my life. While they worked, using them in a two story house with carpeted stairs had difficulties. My Dyson V11 certainly changed that! It’s lite, easily maneuverable, very powerful. It’s easy to clean and I certainly don’t miss an electrical cord. Using the attachments I can easily (and finally) clean my blinds and my steps! A great buy!

Great vaccum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight, great suction, gets into tight places that normal vacuum can't. Battery last long enough to clean whole house. BOOST feature eats the battery quickly but gets the job done when you need extra suction power...between cracks or deep rug cleaning

It just works

We have hard flooring through lower half of our home and we have pets. The V11 is wonderful! Picks up hair on one pass and is very quiet. It feels and performs like a quality machine and worth the higher cost in our opinion.
