disappointing run time

I've been disappointed in how long the unit will run when it's in the highest mode. doesn't even last 30 mins. also, having to constantly hold the trigger while operating the vacuum is cumbersome. works well when it runs, just wish it ran longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought it 3-4 weeks ago. It's a lot better than our old original V7 model which we have had for many years.It's quiet and works very well.

Great lightweight but powerful cordless option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum was incredibly easy to set up including the docking station. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. As for performance, it worked better than I was expecting against our dog fur. Our previous vacuum always got tangled due to the fur so it was neat to see the difference due to the anti-tangle screw shape. Being petite, I also loved that it is cordless and lightweight which makes it very easy for me to carry up the stairs. My dogs also loved that is wasn't as loud as our prior machine. Have yet to test how it stands up to consistent vacuuming of fur over time but so far so good!

Fantastic Cordless Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being new to the cordless vacuum game, I was hesitant about how much power and charge it would have. I was so happy to be proven wrong. This vacuum is not heavy to hold when cleaning multiple rooms. I vacuumed over where my old vacuum had just cleaned, and even more dust and dirt was pulled up. It switches easily from hardwood floors to carpets of different lengths. The vacuum comes with multiple attachments that make it versatile. I was able to clean my upholstered furniture better than before and easily vacuum my car. The light weight of the cordless helps in cleaning hard-to-reach places like behind the couch. The battery life indicator is accurate, and it charges quickly.

The V11 Cordless is a poweful yet lightweight & beautifully assembled machine. The performance is unmatched and always reliable. The new V11 is quick to charge and impressively has 3 different power suction modes. It comes with some lovely attachments that are beyond useful. I was amazed with the new brush roll that prevents hair from getting tangled up in the roll. It also can transition between any of my homes surfaces with ease. I can go between the carpets and hard floors no problem. The V11 is also amazing when it comes to cleaning the car. And did I mention that there is a washable filter in it. I absolutely love when I am able to wash and reuse filters! I dont mean to rant and rave anymore than needed, but I am excited to own yet another beyond impressive Dyson product. I would definitely reccomend this product to anyone and everyone!

Impressively engineered

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to this product, I have been using my Dyson Cinetic Big Ball standing vac since I bought it a bit over a year ago, and had been very happy with the performance and ease of use. That said, the convenience of this cordless and handheld model has made it just as impressive, if not more so.
As an engineer, and as has been my prior experience with Dyson products, I find myself impressed with the design of everything from accessories up to the vacuum itself and the overall comprehensive way the system works. The hair managing designs in both the Motorbar and hair tool are ingenious: the wall dock is solidly designed and easy to install and use, and the quality of life features in the vacuum itself (such as the accurate battery life estimates, very easy mode selection, canister emptying design that makes it simple to empty without mess) are highly appreciated.
A truth in engineering is that when designs work very well, the effort in getting designing them to do so can very easily be underestimated if not entirely overlooked, so I want to highlight just how well it all comes together for a great user experience here. This was a well thought out product that I highly recommend!
