It's going to take a while to get used to this machine. One troubling feature is having to keep the "trigger" constantly depressed in order to vacuum. This is probably similar to any battery operated vacuum, but different for me. I do enjoy not having to trip over a cord. Our house is close to 70 years old with limited electrical outlets, so cordless seemed to be the best option. Please know that I have a Dyson Animal (no ball) that I purchased close to 10 years ago. It has great suction, the attachments are readily available and useful, and it has a very long cord. I will probably always compare any new vacuum with the tried and trusty Animal...and there's no comparison in my opinion.
