I bought this after shopping for over a month to replace another stick vac I had and I’m not overly impressed. The biggest and most important issue I have is-it doesn’t do well on hard floors!! The vacuum head is super strong and does great on rugs but the powerful brush roll only slings dirt everywhere when you run over it and doesn’t pick it all up. After making several passes you still have fine grains of sand and when you stand next to it while on, you can feel the sand being slung around. Exactly what my regular floor vac does. I hate that because the way it functions on the rugs is phenomenal. It’s also very loud and the brush roll makes a loud sound when it’s in motion which is super annoying. It makes me think something is wrong every time I use it but I’ve checked and there isn’t. It’s just the powerful spinning of the brush roll. Another thing I don’t care for is my brush head does not have a light on it. I wish I would have gotten one that did. Every vacuum I’ve ever had did and I thought I wouldn’t miss it but I need it! It helps tremendously to see the dust and fine dog hairs against a dark floor. Lastly I wish there was a way to power on and stay on without holding the trigger the entire time you are vacuuming. I take a quick second to lean over and move something off the floor and accidentally let off the trigger and it shuts off-you get the whoosh sound like a jet pack shutting down-and then I have to pull the trigger to power back up. I hate that though it may be to conserve battery.
My likes are; it’s great on rugs, it has a replaceable battery, it’s sleek and looks nice, it’s easy to empty and I bought one with a lot of attachments. The battery life on mine is as advertised providing I use it sparingly and on the pre set setting.
Overall, I’m not happy that I paid the amount of money I did for what I got performance wise only because our house has no carpet only area rugs. If my house was all carpet I would love it. We live in a sandy state, we have dogs and smooth laminate floors and we have to vacuum every single day. I’ll be purchasing something else.

I love my Dyson V11 Extra! This one is so much more powerful than my past cordless Dyson (Dyson cyclone V10) and so much easier to use than my Upright Dyson that I bought years ago. (I still have it; however, I very rarely use it). The upright was the first Dyson I purchased and loved it; however, I will never buy an upright again. The V10 Extra comes with an assortment of tools. The motorbar cleaner head is fantastic as it clears the wrapped hair from the brush, unlike by V10. I love my new Dyson V11!! I also got an excellent price on it. My daughter recently bought the cordless Dyson and as well my son bought the Dyson V11 extra for his wife. I love my Dyson V11!! It is so easy to use, light weight, easy to carry it to the upstairs, easy to dump the canister, etc. It is fantastic.

I bought this item two weeks ago and I am not impressed with the performance It makes a rather loud noise when turned on and it does not pick up well. I am disappointed in my third purchase of a Dyson product.

This vacuum does a great job. I replaced a different brand and Dyson is so much better. I have 2 dogs and the vacuum does such a great job picking up hair.
