I bought this in November and I do not feel like it is worth what I payed for. I feel like I can get a way cheaper one that will do the same thing this one does. I am a bit unsatisfied.

Upgraded from old broken V6 to V11 extra. I like the little upgrades, but had to buy all new accessories.
Dyson website is still confusing and difficult to compare benefit of different models. After purchase Dyson sent a lot of emails. I thought they would be useful, but all the nag emails were for generic Dyson info. Even the "V11" page was generic with info for other accessories/models unrelated to the V11 I purchased which was confusing. Everyone knows how to use the internet...stop sending nag emails if you don't have specific, relevant info for my purchase since you are citing my specific model :)

I received this as a gift and love it. It picks up everything and allows you to maneuver into the most difficult spaces The 2 reasons I couldn't give it a 5 is the machine's inability to vacuum without holding the switch in the ON position An ON/OFF button is much more practical And lastly, the flow on a carpet. Very difficult to cross over to a rug and when I looked into it, another part is needed in order for a better flow

Battery life is not great. It has to much suction for any kind of rug. Kind of a problem. Not sure if it's from the rubber brush versus fibers. It is also heavier than our 8. And all the weight is in your hand. I like the dumping of the bin.

I fought buying a Dyson because of the cost and am now licking myself for not doing it sooner. It deep cleans, I can clean area rugs without the rug getting caught up in the vacuum and the pet hair attachment actually works. I am very happy with my purchase.
